閱讀下面短文,根據(jù)要求完成下列各題。

The K-Cup is a great invention. We can see the product everywhere in the world. However, its inventor, John Sylvan, said in an interview, “I feel bad sometimes that I ever did it.”

Why? Because it’s bad for the environment. K-Cups are almost impossible to recycle. John Sylvan couldn’t do much about the problem. He sold the invention to Keurig Green Mountain for $50,000 in 1997. Keurig Green Mountain made $4.7 billion last year. Much of that money came thanks to K-Cups.

“I’ve told them how to improve the K-Cup, but they don’t listen,” said John Sylvan. Sylvan has found solutions, like reusable K-Cups. He said he even tested his design years ago, and it worked.

However, Keurig Green Mountain refused John Sylvan’s advice. The company said that it had a plan of its own and that it would make 100% of K-Cup packs recyclable by 2020.

【題目】Is the whale the worlds largest fish? No. It looks like a fish, but it is really a mammal. (哺乳動(dòng)物)Then whats the worlds largest fish? Its the whale shark.

Although the whale shark is our biggest fish and lives in many oceans around the world, few people have ever heard of it. Scientists have not been studying whale sharks for very long. Much more needs to be learned about them.

A whale shark is sometimes called a gentle giant. It likes to be alone and doesnt care a bit about divers or humans. The biggest whale shark weighed 24,250 pounds and was nearly 40 feet long. This makes it heavier and longer than a school bus.

Inside its huge mouth are great numbers of very small teeth. To count all of them, youll need to do some maths. The whale sharks teeth are arranged in rows. There are between eleven and thirteen rows on each jaw (顎) and around three hundred teeth in each row.

However, the whale shark rarely uses its teeth. It does not chew or bite its food. Large amounts of water are pulled into its mouth and then pushed out through its gills (鰓).

For a few months every year, a group of whale sharks comes to Ningaloo Reef, off Western Australia. This gives scientists a wonderful chance to study the large fish. Whale sharks do live in other oceans of the world, but no one knows their population. It is possible that our biggest fish may need protecting. It is one of the reasons why scientists continue to learn all they can about these gentle giants.
