閱讀理解.
Balzac was a famous French novelist. One day he found a very beautiful vase while shopping. He loved
it a lot,but the price was too high,400 francs.
“Could you sell it at 200 francs?”Balzac wanted to cut down the price.
“No,”the shopkeeper answered.
Balzac left without any word. He went back home and asked several friends to
help him. They worked out a plan. Balzac hoped it would work.
The next day,one of his friends went to the shop and asked for the vase at 300 francs. The shopkeeper didn't answer.
Shortly after the first one,the second friend went and asked for it at 250. Theshopkeeper shook his head. And so on,the third for 200,the fourth for 150. The fifth for 100 ! My God ! It was too low !
Then Balzac himself returned to the shop and offered 200 again. To his surprise, the plan worked and Balzac got the beautiful vase at his price.
