Zhong Nanshan became a well known name in the fight against SARS in 2003. Seventeen years later, the new fight against COVID-19 put the 84-year-old doctor back in the spotlight (媒體和公眾的注意). With talent and hard work, Zhong graduated from Beijing Medical University in 1960. As a leading specialist in respiratory diseases (呼吸系統(tǒng)疾病的領(lǐng)軍人物), Zhong always puts patients first and provides them with the best treatments (治療).

Because of SARS in 2003, he has become a hero and won public trust. The photo of him falling asleep on the train to Wuhan touched many people’s hearts.
