【題目】
Recently researchers in the UK studied social media users ranging from 10 to 15 years old. They found that they can be divided into fourpersonality types. They are either a “victim ”, a “geek (極客)”, an “Internet celebrity (網(wǎng)紅)”, or a “l(fā)urker (潛伏者)” on social media. Each personality type has both positive and negative sides. Which one do you fall into?
Victims
Victims lack (缺乏) the knowledge to keep themselves safe online. To avoid being avictim, do not share the location of your home. Thieves may break into your home if they know you are not there.
Geeks
Geeks are active social media users who care about their privacy (隱私). A movie tells aman who is comfortable in his online life, but finds life in the real world to be much moredifficult to deal with. This can remind “geeks” to try to avoid becoming addicted (上癮的) tothe Internet and take part in more face-to-face activities.
Internet celebrities
Internet celebrities like sharing as well, but they make more appearance than geeks. They may become famous for their singing or dancing. Many of them share almost everything in their lives in order to attract more fans. Teenage celebrities may spend less time studying and more time online, making them fall behind in study.
Lurkers
Most teenagers probably fall into the fourth type – “l(fā)urkers”, or people who are neither tooactive nor visible. You probably have friends who prefer to “l(fā)ike” and share links (鏈接), ratherthan create their own content online. The problem for these teenagers is that they may find it difficult to express themselves. But at least they make sure to protect their privacy. All in all, whichever type you belong to, remember that never spend too much time on theInternet. Go to find your friends and family members instead.
