【題目】 Nowadays, many parents like sharing their children’s photos online. Is it good or bad? Please read the following students’ debate.

Pros (正方)

Cons (反方)

In my opinion, there’s nothing wrong about parents pictures of their babies online. It shows that they love their children they just want to share pictures of their kids with their friends. It’s a convenient way for relatives who live far away to stay in touch with their family.

Parents should respect and protect their children’s privacy (隱私). Photos can show their children’s faces, places they’ve been to and other information. In these cases, parents can accidentally violate their children’s privacy when sharing photos online. The most important thing is to keep children safe.

Our parents have not only given birth to us, but also provided us with a lot of things that we need, such as education and food. Can’t they share our photos to express their happiness and pride? It’s just another way for them to express their love and we should understand that.

In my observation (觀察), some parents like to share embarrassing photos of their kids online. For example, sometimes their kid are sleeping or crying in their pictures. But most kids don’t want these photos to be shared online.

1細(xì)節(jié)理解題。根據(jù)表格中第二行“relatives who live far away to stay in touch with their family”,第三行“ It’s just another way for them to express their love”,“ provided us with a lot of things that we need”可知ABD三個(gè)選項(xiàng)都是正方的觀點(diǎn)。 根據(jù)表格第二列第三行“But most kids don’t want these photos to be shared online”可知C選項(xiàng)的表述是反方的觀點(diǎn)。故選C

2詞義猜測題。根據(jù)“Parents should respect and protect their children’s privacy”可知父母應(yīng)該尊重和保護(hù)孩子的隱私,從而推斷此句“violate their children’s privacy when sharing photos online”表示在網(wǎng)上分享孩子的照片則是沒有保護(hù)而是侵犯了隱私。故選B

3細(xì)節(jié)理解題。根據(jù)表格第二行“The most important thing is to keep children safe”可知對于反方來說最重要的是保證孩子的安全。故選A。

4細(xì)節(jié)理解題。根據(jù)第二列第二行“Parents should respect and protect their children’s privacy”可知對于反方來說父母應(yīng)該尊重和保護(hù)孩子的隱私,B選項(xiàng)表述正確。根據(jù)第三行“most kids don’t want these photos to be shared online”可知是大多數(shù)的孩子不想把自己的照片分享到網(wǎng)上,A選項(xiàng)的“all children”表述錯(cuò)誤。根據(jù)第三行“some parents like to share embarrassing photos of their kids online”父母喜歡分享孩子的尷尬的照片在網(wǎng)上,C選項(xiàng)的“just to record their lives”表述錯(cuò)誤。D選項(xiàng)父母在網(wǎng)上分享孩子的照片是否正確這是文章的主題,不是反方的觀點(diǎn)。故選B。

【題目】 The sight of a tailor-shop gave me a strong wish to throw off my old clothes and get a new suit. Could I afford it? No, I had nothing in the world but a million-pound note. So I forced myself to go on by. But soon I was drawing back again. The temptation troubled me a lot. I must have passed that shop six times during that struggle. At last I gave in, I had to. I asked if they had a cheap suit. The fellow I spoke to made no answer at first, looked me up and down, noticed that I was almost in rags(衣衫襤褸), then said, “Just a minute.”

I waited till he had finished his work. Then he took me into a back room to choose a cheapest suit for me. I put it on. It didn’t fit, but it was new and I was anxious to have it, so I said shyly:

“Could you wait a few days for the money? I haven’t any small change on me.”

The fellow looked at me coldly and said, “Oh, you haven’t. Well, of course, I know that gentlemen like you carry only large notes(支票)”.

I was angry, and said, “My friend, you shouldn't judge a stranger always by the clothes he wears. I am quite able to pay for this suit. I simply didn't wish to put you to the trouble of changing a large note. ” “Why do you think we can’t change your note? Instead, we can.”

I handed the note to him and said: “Oh, very well, I am sorry.”

He received it with a smile, and then as he looked at the note, his smile froze.

Realizing what was going on, the owner of the shop gave a low whistle and talked excitedly, as if to himself.

“To sell such a suit as that to a millionaire! Tod’s a fool. Please get those clothes off, sir. Wait till you see what we’ll make for you to your own measure.”

Before I could get in a word he had measured me, and was giving orders for evening suits, morning suits, shirts and all sorts of things.

【題目】 What do you do when you feel unhappy? Do you listen to music? Do you talk to a friend?

Maybe next time you feel sad, you should try going outside if it is sunny. Doctors know that how much sunlight we get can change how we feel. Scientists learned this by interviewing people who live in different parts of the world. In the far north, in Alaska or Finland, for example, the days are very short in the winter. People living in these places say that they often feel unhappy in the winter. In the south, where there are more daylight hours, fewer people say they are unhappy in the winter. The reason is the amount (數(shù)量) of sunlight these people get each day. Sunlight changes the chemicals (化學(xué)物) in our bodies, and these chemicals can change the way we feel. A couple of hours of strong sunlight or light from a special lamp can help your body make the chemicals that make us feel happy.

Another way to feel happier is to get some exercise. Just like sunlight, regular exercise helps our bodies make certain chemicals, which make us feel happier. In addition, exercise helps people sleep better and lack of sleep often makes people feel unhappy. Exercise also helps you get rid of stress. When you are angry or upset about something, exercise is a good way to get those bad feelings out of you.

1Why do people in the far north feel unhappy more often than people in the south?

A.Because they can’t go outside.B.Because they get less sunlight.

C.Because the weather is too cold.D.Because the summer is too short.

2How can sunlight change the way you feel?

A.On a sunny day, you can play outside.B.Sunlight makes you less tired.

C.Sunlight increases your body temperature.D.Sunlight helps your body make certain chemicals.

3What’s the main point of Paragraph 2?

A.It is better to live in the south.B.Southern people feel much happier.

C.Sunlight can control our feelings.D.Northern people often feel unhappy.

4________ will not make you feel happier according to the passage.

A.Eating moreB.Exercising more

C.Getting more sleepD.Getting more sunlight

5What is the best title for this passage?

A.Why Is Sunlight Good for You?B.How Can Exercise Help You?

C.Ways to Feel HappierD.Functions of Exercising More
