Why do dogs chase(追趕) cats?-- Here is a story about this.

One day Cat and Dog get married. They are very happy together, but every night when Dog comes home from work, Cat says she is too sick to make dinner for him. Dog is patient(有耐心的) with her at first, but soon gets tired of making dinner after a day’s hard work. After all, Cat just stays at home all day long.

One day, Dog tells Cat he is going to work, but he hides in a box and wants to find if she is really sick. Cat thinks dog leaves, so she starts playing outside with other cats. They laugh and run about. Dog knows Cat isn’t sick at all. He jumps out of the box.. Dog is so angry that he starts chasing her all over the house.

And dogs still like chasing cats today.

What do you usually do to get pocket money from your parents? In western countries, many children do chores to get pocket money. They usually start to do this at 10 years old.
School students have to do homework and study for tests. They don’t have a lot of free time in the week. They often do chores at the weekend.
Young kids only do easy chores. So they don’t get much money. But that’s all right. Many of them only want to buy candy. And candy is cheap! They help wash up after dinner and feed the family cat or dog.
When they get older, kids want to buy more and more things. They want things that are more expensive than candy. Then they have to work harder! They often wash the family car, cut the grass, walk the dog and cook dinner.
Some jobs are a good way for kids to learn new things. For example, they can learn to use a lawnmower(割草機(jī)) or how to cook. Of course, their parents help them at first.

Dolphins are our friends. They can use tools to solve problems although they don't have hands.   For example, scientists have ever found that a dolphin can make a shy eel(鰻魚) come out of its hole with a dead fish.

Dolphins use different sounds to exchange information with each other. Scientists in Hawaii have developed a sign language to give instructions to dolphins, and the results are amazing. They find that dolphins not only understand the meaning of individual (個(gè)別的) words, but also understand the importance of word order in a sentence.

Most animals enjoy playing — but dolphins seem to like making their games as challenging as possible. On a beautiful day in 1997, scientists at a beach watched a little dog going into the sea and swimming towards the dolphins. To their surprise, the dolphins came up to the dog and then started throwing it into the air. The dog seemed to enjoy the "game" and continued playing with the dolphins for more than an hour.

Dolphins live in a very different world from ours, but they are very good at our "IQ tests” . For example, they will jump out of the water when they hear a whistle (口哨) noise. They do this because they will get a fish as a prize.

There is still much to learn about these cute problem-solvers, but it is certain that watching a dolphin show is fun.
