Welcome to China soon! As you know, Chinese culture is totally different from that in America. Let me give you some advice about Chinese custom.

First of all, you should be on time when you are asked to eat a meal. Second, you are supposed to let the old eat first at table. We respect the old, it’s our fine tradition. Third, you should share the food with others in the middle of the table if you have some delicious food, it is considered to be polite.

Otherwise, you aren’t supposed to stick your chopsticks into your food, it’s rude. Besides, you shouldn’t speak loudly while eating. You shouldn’t point at anyone with your chopsticks, either. They are really different from your customs, aren’t they?
