【答案】例文:

Who is the idol in my heart?

Everyone has an idol in his heart. Different people have different reasons for it.

Some people admire actors or singers, because they are young, good-looking and dress fashionably. In addition, they can sing, dance or act well. They earn a lot of money so easily that many teenagers admire them very much. Some people admire scientists, because they have rich knowledge. They are experienced in their own field. They make contributions to our country’s science and technology. Others think doctors are their idols, because they protect our health or lives. Some of them even lost their lives. For example, when the novel corona virus broke out in Wuhan, a lot of doctors gave up their own family and did what they could to save the patients when they were needed.

As for me, I think my idol is my teachers. They devote themselves to teaching us. They often come to school ahead of us, and are the last to leave school. They spend much time preparing lessons in order that we could learn better. After classes, they are busy correcting our homework. They treat us as if we were their own children. I want to be a teacher when I grow up

【題目】閱讀短文,按要求回答問(wèn)題。

Amy was looking for a gift for her little daughter. She stopped in front of a store full of dolls.

"Girls like dolls," she thought as she stepped into the store.

Looking around, she saw a grandma doll -- one with grey hair and a pair of glasses. In her mind appeared Joyce, her own mother.

When Amy was a little girl, she got her first doll from Joyce for her birthday. Then the second, the third.., the dolls never arrived late, year after year.

"Why always a doll?" This question had been inAmy's mind until one day her father gave the answer.

Joyce dreamed of having a doll when she was a child herself. Her parents promised one for her fifth birthday. Sadly, they both died in a traffic accident before it arrived. The never-received gift was the mostvaluable one in her eyes.

Recalling(回想起) her mother's story, Amy got an idea.

It was Joyce's 60th birthday. She got a package with a card that read:

Dear Joyce,

I forget to send you a package that you should have received on May 20, 1956, your fifth birthday.

The gift inside has aged, but I felt that you might still want to have it.

Love,

Angel of Joy

Joyce opened the package and saw a lovely grandma doll. She clasped the doll that she had waited so many years for, with tears running down her face. The doll, given by her "Angel of Joy", made her the happiest "child" in the world.

1Why did Joyce buy her daughter Amy a doll year after year?

2Did Joyce's parents realize their promise?

3When was Joyce bom?

4Who was Joyce's "Angle of Joy"?

【題目】 Do you know 5G? It is the fifth generation(代)of mobile network technology. These new networks are coming.

China just issued commercial licenses(發(fā)放商用牌照)for 5G on June 6. This means that China’s telecom companies were soon able to offer 5G networks for mobile phone users.

Each mobile network generation is faster and more powerful than the one before it. 1G let us talk to each other. 2G let us send messages. 3G gave us data and the Internet. And 4G made all of these things faster. What’s special about 5G?

5G has a very short delay between sending and receiving information. Now, 4G takes about 100 to 200 milliseconds(毫秒)to send and receive data. But 5G will get it down to 1 millisecond or less—this is almost real-time.

This big change will not only make our mobile Internet faster, but also deeply change our lives. Read on to find out how.

5G+entertainment(娛樂(lè))

5G networks are about 100 times faster than 4G. This means you can dowload a movie in seconds using 5G.

Also, virtual reality (VR) games will become more popular with 5G. The short delay of 5G will make the games feel even more real.

5G+transportation

5G will also bring us safer self-driving cars. These cars can send signals(信號(hào))to each other. They also talk to traffic lights and road sensors(傳感器). 5G will allow cars to react even faster than human drivers.

5G+smart homes

5G also makes the Internet of things possible. Internet of things is a large network that connects everything to the Internet. Smart homes are part of it.

For example, your toaster can automatically(自動(dòng)地)start making breakfast after your alarm rings. And if its sensor feels the air becoming dry, a smart sprinkler could water your plants by itself.

1What does the underlined word “delay” in Paragraph 4 probably mean in Chinese?.

A.延時(shí)B.暫停C.斷開D.卡頓

25G will change people’s lives in many ways EXCEPT _________.

A.entertainmentB.transportationC.smart homesD.health

3Which of the following is NOT true according to the passage?

A.We can download a movie faster with 5G.

B.Human drivers can send signals at traffic lights.

C.The plants can water themselves by a smart sprinkler with 5G.

D.5G is faster and more powerful than 4G.

4What’s the main idea of the passage?

A.Mobile phone users can use 5G networks.

B.Each mobile network generation has their own advantages.

C.5G will change our lives in many ways.

D.5G will bring us safer self-driving cars.

【題目】 Now they Vieira children are adults, and they sometimes travel to Spain (西班牙) to visit their family and friends. But they can't communicate with them. Unfortunately this is common. When people move to new countries, they often leave their own customs and mother language behind. This is a mistake because there are many benefits to knowing more than one language.

One advantage of speaking more than one language is that you can communicate with more people around the world. You don't have to depend on others to talk for you, so you are more independent. People who knew only one language must use others to help them communicate.

Local expressions, vocabulary, and even jokes can have a powerful effect on a person's understanding of other culture. So knowing more than one language increases your knowledge of other cultures.

Finally, having more multi-language speakers improves relationships between countries. If people from different countries can communicate well, the world can became closer. Countries will then have more respect for each other and better understand each other's problems.

The benefits of knowing more than one language are clear. In fact, there are no disadvantages. It is very sad that many people don't try to learn another language. It's even worse when people let themselves forget their mother language and become silenced.

【題目】Future astronauts could travel with emotional support robots

To help astronauts of the future survive(幸免于) the mental(精神的) challenges that come with staying in space for quite a long time, space travelers’ tasks could soon be accompanied(陪伴) by AI-powered, empathetic(有同理心的,同感的) robotic helpers.

Not only does space travel present astronauts with lots of physical stresses, spending months or years in such a physically demanding(要求高的) place with limited space and the same people can also raise many mental tests as well. According to MIT Technology Review, scientists are working to alleviate astronauts from some of the latter challenges by creating “an AI assistant that’s able to feel human emotion and respond(做出反應(yīng)) with empathy.”

While such a technology would prove itself useful by being able to predict the needs of the crew members in space and “intervene(干預(yù)) if their mental health is in danger,” it has the potential to be life-saving when humans choose to explore beyond Earth’s gravitational field(引力場(chǎng)) and towards deep space.

Though astronauts currently on the International Space Station have an intelligent robot to interact with called CIMON, it is short of proper emotional intelligence according to NASA CTO Tom Soderstrom. As a result, a team at the organization’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory is working on a more complex(復(fù)雜的) emotional support companion that can control a spacecraft’s functioning in addition to tracking the crew members’ behaviours.

Right now in the lab, an AI-equipped robot called Henry the Helper can be found walking around the grounds assisting visitors who appear confused or lost based on their facial expression. Two more emotionally intelligent robots are expected to be introduced later this year, one of which is said to be able to take part in conversations more complex than giving navigation(導(dǎo)航) assistance.

The team’s final goal is to make a companion named Fiona the Future a reality, an emotionally intelligent cross-platform system. Fiona, if all goes according to the JPL’s plans, will help keep astronauts of the future stay mentally fit as they start their journeys to deep space.

1What does the underlined word alleviate in Paragraph 2 probably mean?

A.面臨B.應(yīng)對(duì)C.緩解D.刺激

2According to the passage, which is the biggest challenge astronauts meet in space?

A.Mental health.B.Physical health.C.Food safety.D.Environment.

3Which of the following is NOT true about the future AI helpers?

A.They will be able to know human emotion by feeling.

B.They will be able to control the crew members’ behaviours.

C.They will be able to guess what the crew members want.

D.They will be able to join in the conversations with the crew members.
