A group of 30 young people in a software company was a team who were willing to learn. The team leader decided to teach them about finding real solutions (解決辦法) to the problems.

The team was called to play a game in a hall. They were quite surprised. As they entered the hall, they found the hall decorated with colourful papers and balloons all over the place. It was more like a kid's play area, than a meeting hall. Also, there was a huge box of balloons placed in the hall.

The team leader asked everyone to pick a balloon from the box and asked them to blow it. Every one happily picked a balloon and blew it.

Then the team leader asked them to write their names on their balloon carefully so that the balloons didn't blow up. All tried to write their names on the balloons, but not everyone was successful. A few balloons blew up because of pressure (壓力) and they were given another chance to use another balloon.

Those who failed to mark their names even after the second chance were ruled out of the game. After the second chance, 25 were left to move on to the next level. All the balloons were collected and then put into a room.

The team leader announced the members to go to the room and pick the same balloon that had his name on it. Also, he told them that no balloon should blow up and warned them to be very careful!

All 25 members reached the room, where the balloons carrying their names were thrown here and there. They were searching for the balloons carrying their names. While they were in a rush to find the balloons, they tried not to burst them. It was almost 15 minutes and no one was able to find the balloon carrying his own name.

The team was told that the second level of the game was over.

Now it is the third and final level. They were asked to pick any balloon in the room and give it to the person named on the balloon. Within a couple of minutes all balloons reached the hands of each person.

The team leader announced: this is called the real solution to the problems.

根據(jù)第3段第1句“The team leader asked everyone to pick a balloon from the box and asked them to blow it.”,第4段第1句“Then the team leader asked them to write their names on their balloon carefully so that the balloons didn't blow up.”,第6段第1句“The team leader announced the members to go to the room and pick the same balloon that had his name on it.”及第9段第2句“They were asked to pick any balloon in the room and give it to the person named on the balloon.”

2

細(xì)節(jié)題。第3-4段“The team leader asked everyone to pick a balloon from the box and asked them to blow it. …Then the team leader asked them to write their names on their balloon carefully so that the balloons didn't blow up.

Every year, wildfires destroy much forest land. Homes are broken down, and thousands of people die. Smokejumpers are helping to stop this.

Smokejumpers are a special kind of firefight. They jump from planes into areas that difficult to reach by car or on foot, such as the middle of a mountain forest. They race to put out fires as fast as they can.

At a fire site, smokejumpers first examine the land and decide how to fight the fire. Their main goal is to stop fire from spreading. Using basic tools such as shovels and axes, smokejumpers clear land of burnable material like plants and other dry material. They carry water with them too, but only a limited amount.

Although most smokejumpers are men, more women are joining. Most important are your weight and height. Smokejumpers employed in the U. S. For example, must be 54 to 91 kilograms, so they don't get blown by the strong winds or get hurt when they land.

Smokejumpers must own necessary qualities to survive in the wilderness. In Russia, many smokejumpers know how to find food in the forest and even make simple furniture from trees.

The work is dangerous, the hours are long. But for these firefighters, smokejumpers isn't just a job. They love being able to jump out of planes, fight fires and live in the forest. As 28-year-old Russian smokejumpers Alexi Tishin says, “This is the best job for tough guys.”
