If a call must be made“如果你必須打電話”以及后面or outdoors“或者戶外”可知是應(yīng)當(dāng)找個合適的場合打電話,故答案選B。

【題目】 As people use computers to store information, are they remembering less? If you know your computer will save information, why do you store it in your own personal memory, your brain? Experts(專家) are wondering if the Internet is changing what we remember and how.
In a recent study, Professor Betsy Sparrow did some experiments(實(shí)驗(yàn)). She and her research team wanted to know how the Internet is changing memory. In the first experiment, they gave people 40 unimportant facts to type into a computer. The first group of people understood that the computer would save the information. The second group understood that the computer would not save it. Later, the second group remembered the information better. People in the first group knew they could find the information again, so they did not try to remember it.
In another experiment, the researchers gave people facts to remember, and told them where to find the information on the Internet. The information was in a computer folder. Surprisingly, people later remember the folder location better than the facts. When people use the Internet, they do not remember the information. However, they remember how to find it. This is called "transactive memory (交互記憶)".
According to Sparrow, we are not becoming people with poor memories as a result of the Internet. Instead, computer users are developing stronger transactive memories; that is, people are learning how to organize much information so that they are able to find it later. This doesn't mean we are becoming either more or less intelligent, but there is no doubt that the way we use memory is changing.

【3】What can we learn about the first experiment?
A.Sparrow typed the information into a computer herself.
B.Both of the two groups remembered the information well.
C.The first group did not try to remember the information.
D.The second group did not understand the information.
【4】In transactive memory, people ______.

【題目】 In our life, success does not belong to (屬于) a select group of individuals (個人). Success belongs to those who are willing to go after it and put their effort into doing what they have to do. Here are some useful practical ways for you if you want to be successful.
Desire Desire (渴望) is the strong wish to achieve a goal. Without desire you have nothing. Before you can run with desire, your goal must be clear, and it must also be exciting.
Show up Seventy percent of success in life is showing up. You can’t have a best seller, if you have never written a book. You can’t get your dream job, if you’re afraid to turn in an application. Showing up doesn’t guarantee(保證) success, but if you don’t show up, you won’t be successful.
Fail Unless you’re willing to have a try, fail unhappily, and have another try, success won’t happen. To have success, you have to do things the right way, but often the only way to do something right is to first fail at it. As Thomas J. Watson said, a simple formula (公式) for success is to double your rate of failure (失敗). So welcome failure, become a student of failure, learn from failure, and soon you will be a success.
Work Harder Everyone runs, but everyone is not willing to run for an hour every day. Success is not about doing what the common person can’t do. It’s about doing what the common person is unwilling to do. And on a deeper level, it’s about creating habits that the common person is unwilling to create. It’s the habit of doing things with excellence that will cause success.
Enjoy the Journey Success is a journey, not a destination (終點(diǎn)). Success is not a certain car or a certain house or a certain happy marriage. Success means the enjoyment of the journey. You have to enjoy the journey.
Someone once said, “If you don’t change how you are, you will always have what you’ve got.” You have to change, you will change, and you will be successful.
Opinion | ●If you want to have success, you should try your 【1】 to achieve it. | |
