【題目】 If you dropped a piece of fruit on your computer keyboard, would you think about eating it again? What if you dropped it in the toilet? Bacteria(細菌) can live everywhere, even in some unexpected places.
If you eat at your computer, sneeze on your keyboard, or sit down to surf the Internet without first washing your hands, your computer keyboard could be bad for your health. According to the US National Research Centre, the average computer carries 400 times more bacteria than a toilet bowl(抽水馬桶) does.
Could one of the dirtiest things in your home be right in your hand? Yes. The TV remote control. It gets dropped on the floor, put on the sofa and everyone in the house holds it. Scientists found that about half of the tested remote controls carry the cold virus(病毒).
Don’t forget your toothbrush. Do you put it in the bathroom? Studies show that flushing(抽水沖洗) the toilet releases(釋放) bacteria in the air. Bacteria can remain in the air for at least two hours. They may pollute your toothbrush. You can find ways to solve this problem. Try to keep your toothbrush far from the toilet. Make sure that it is in an upright position after each use. It’s also important to change your toothbrush every three months.
Here are some other places to watch out for:
At home
The kitchen is one of the places with the most bacteria — more than the bathroom. Dishcloths and kitchen sponges(海綿) are great places for bacteria since they are always wet after being used. Try to make them dry.
At school
When you put your schoolbags on the floor or in the bus, many bacteria can live on the bottom(底部) of it. Try to clean your schoolbag often.
In public places
Escalator handrails(電梯扶手), shopping cart handles(推車手柄), public books and magazines are top bacteria carriers. That’s why the first thing to do when getting home is to wash your hands.
Yes, bacteria are everywhere. But don’t be too afraid to touch those things. Most of bacteriaare harmless. Just remember to wash your hands regularly. It is the most useful way to protect yourself from bacteria and viruses.

【題目】 Answer the questions. (根據(jù)短文內(nèi)容回答下列問題)
“More young people should study Science", Hazel Wallace, a Science teacher from London, said at a conference for young scientists last weekend." More young people should take Science subjects at school and study them at university, "she said." Scientists can change the world and can improve life for everyone. We also need more people who want to teach science and do scientific research."
But there was bad news from Professor George Benson, a research scientist and university Science teacher, who was also at the conference." Science courses at university are very good," he said, "but there’s a real problem with Science teaching in schools. One in three people who teach Physics to 15-and 16-years-olds don’t have a physical degree. Not enough people are studying Science at university and this means that there are not enough science teachers."
Mrs Wallace didn’t agree." It’s true that the number of Science pupils fell between 2000 and 2010."She said ." But now the numbers are rising again. The number of students who take Science subjects at school is much higher now than it was five years ago."
Professor Benson was certain that numbers were still too low and added, "There’s still a problem with science lessons in schools. Most young people think that Science is boring or difficult or both. We have to find ways to interest 12-16 years olds in studying Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Old-fashioned teaching methods have to change, We must spread the news that Science is very important, but it can also be fun."
【1】What does Hazel Wallace do?
【2】Who was the conference for?
【3】The number of science pupils is still falling now, isn’t it?
【4】According to Benson, what can teachers do to make Science lessons more interesting?
【5】What might be the topic of the conference?
【6】Will you choose Science as your major at university? Why or Why not?(Explain in 2-3 sentences.)

【題目】 Does Fame Drive You Crazy?
Although being famous might sound like a dream come true, today's star, feeling like zoo animals, face pressures that few of us can imagine. They are at the center of much of the world's attention. Paparazzi (狗仔隊) camp outside their homes, cameras ready. Tabloids (小報) publish thrilling stories about their personal lives. Just imagine not being able to do anything without being photographed or interrupted for a signature.
According to psychologist Christina Villareal, celebrities—famous people—worry constantly about their public appearance. Eventually, they start to lose track of who they really are, seeing themselves the way their fans imagine them, not as the people they were before everyone knew their names. "Over time," Villareal says, "they feel separated and alone."
The phenomenon of tracking celebrities has been around for ages. In the 4th century B.C., painters followed Alexander the Great into battle, hoping to picture his victories for his admirers. When Charles Dickens visited America in the 19th century, his sold-out readings attracted thousands of fans, leading him to complain about his lack of privacy. Tabloids of the 1920s and 1930s ran articles about film-stars in much the same way that modern tabloids and websites do.
Being a public figure today, however, is a lot more difficult than it used to be. Superstars cannot move about without worrying about photographers with modern cameras. When they say something silly or do something ridiculous, there is always the Internet to spread the news in minutes and keep their "story" alive forever.
If fame is so troublesome, why aren't all celebrities running away from it? The answer is there are still ways to deal with it. Some stars stay calm by surrounding themselves with trusted friends and family or by escaping to remote places away from big cities. They focus not on how famous they are but on what they love to do or whatever made them famous in the first place.
Sometimes a few celebrities can get a little justice. Still, even stars who enjoy full justice often complain about how hard their lives are. They are tired of being famous already.
【1】It can be learned from the passage that stars today ________.
A.are often misunderstood by the publicB.care little about how they have come into fame

【2】What is the main idea of Paragraph 3?
A.Great heroes of the past were generally admired.
B.Well-known actors are usually targets of tabloids.
C.The problem faced by celebrities has a long history.
D.Works of popular writers often have a lot of readers.
【3】What makes it much harder to be a celebrity today?
A.Lack of favorable chances.B.Not enough social recognition.
C.Availability of modern media.D.Huge population of fans.
【4】What is the author's attitude toward modern celebrity?
A.Sincere.B.Sympathetic.
C.Disapproving.D.Unbelieving.
