However, just a day later, a policeman told Gibson that her drawing had helped solve the case. “I thought, if that terrible drawing stopped a bad guy—like the man who tried to kill me—I’m never going to stop,” Gibson says.

There is never a day that goes by when Gibson isn’t drawing a suspect. The artist says she wants to help those people feel better about something they are never going to forget. “When they see the drawing, they see hope for justice（正義）,” she says.

Some of Gibson’s friends expect her to create the beautiful, just like other artists. She doesn’t. Why? “You’ll lose yourself if you catch one suspect,” she says. “You want to get another.”
