根據(jù)短文內(nèi)容完成下列句子。
As an American,I was surprised to learn that Chinese students must be good at sports in order to get
a top grade in PE class.  In the US, all you have to do to get an A in PE class is show up in proper gym
clothes and look like you're trying.
This is lucky for kids like me who aren't great at sports.  At my school, we had PE class twice a
week. Every few weeks, we changed the activity we were doing. For a few weeks we played football.
That was okay I was good at it.  But then we switched (轉(zhuǎn)換) to baseball, and I was hopeless. I couldn't
hit the ball at all!
Luckily, under the American system, trying my best was enough. When I missed the ball, I knew it
didn't matter. I'd still get a good grade.
During the school year, we played many different sports, including American football, badminton,
gymnastics (體操), tennis, golf, swimming and rock-climbing.  Every few months, we spent a few weeks
in health class. Instead of going outside or to the gym, we sat in a classroom and learned about the
human body and first aid (急救).
At PE classes, we learned a little, exercised a little, and had lots of fun.
1. The Chinese students must be good at sports in order to _______.
2. The writer is an American and is not _______ sports.
3. If you are  a  student in an American school, you are not good at sports but you still _______ .
4. During the American school year, the students have many different PE classes like _______.
5. The students in America can learn a little, _     ___ a little and had lots of fun at PE classes.
1. get a top grade in PE class
2. good at
3. get a good grade
4. American football, badminton, rock-climbing and so on

What will the home of the future look like? A team of architects (建造師) in Hong Kong say that city homes will be tiny, as populations continue to grow and space becomes more expensive. They have designed “space flats”. 83它們只有30 平米大。These flats have three small rooms, a living room, a bathroom and a bedroom, as well as a balcony (陽臺(tái)),but everything is carefully planned to make good use of the limited space.
The living room is the main room of the flat. It can be used as an office, a kitchen or even a second bedroom. There is a sofa that can be changed into a bed. The dining table can be changed into a computer desk. And, if not needed, both the sofa-bed and the table can be folded away and stored into a small apace in the wall. There is a flat-screen TV, which can also serve as a computer monitor. In one corner of the room, a small cooker, a microwave oven and a miniature refrigerator are hidden out of sight.
The other rooms are small but useful. The bathroom contains a toilet and a shower. 根據(jù)短文內(nèi)容,完成下列表格,每空一詞。

The home of the future won’t be completely different and we will be living in houses and flats as we do today. But people will want to shape their homes to match their dreams. No two homes will be the same. People will be able to buy “house materials” containing moveable walls, doors and windows. They will put together the different parts to create the home they want.

Many jobs that we do today will disappear, others will still be done but will change and new jobs will be created. Skilled workers such as builders, gardeners and electricians won’t disappear because machines can’t take the place of them. We will still have teachers because students need human contact. But they will be using modern technology in class more and students will be working more from home.

Space holidays will develop in the future, but these holidays won’t be for everyone because they won’t be cheap. Short space trips will develop first, then hotels will move around the earth where it will be possible to have a longer vacation. By the end of the next century, there will be holiday centers on the moon with things needed for families.

There will be no paper in the future. Instead, there will be e-paper which people will be able to use over and over again. This will develop in order to protect nature. E-newspapers and e-magazines will take the place of traditional newspapers and magazines and we will download information and news articles from the Internet every day onto our re-useable paper.

As we know, the earth is going to disappear sometime in the future. This isn’t going to happen tomorrow but scientists say that it will happen in five billion years. We will have to find another home. At sometime in the future far away, either we stay on the earth and die with it, or we leave and move to another plant. There won’t be any other choice.
