　　Fang Ming is the computer services manager of a company in Shanghai．Her company makes machines and sells them to European and Asian countries like Britain and Japan．She buys computers and computer programs for different parts of the company．

　　She often has to travel abroad．Sometimes sales people come and visit her at her factory in shanghai．They want to sell her computers or new programs．“I have to keep up-to-date,”she told our reporter．“Other companies in China are selling the same kinds of products．Often a good computer program helps us save money．

　　I asked her why she had learnt English at university．She told me that she could not do her job without English．”I speak in English to Japanese people and people from other Asian countries like Thailand and Malaysia．Their first language isn’t English, but we use English to do business together．”
