How much do you know about Top Combine (至上勵合 TC), the popular boy band? After two months of training in South Korea, the five boys are back with their latest album Grandness Equal to Heaven (《齊天大盛》). They showed up in Beijing to promote their new record. Hundreds of teenagers screamed in excitement when they saw their idols.
“I was blown away (被……征服) by this album. I knew TC would improve after going to South Korea, but I couldn't have imagined it would be so nice,” said a fan after she listened to the album.
Each of the boys has put something of themselves into the new album, from Zhang Yuan's soft voice to Ma Xueyang's talents composing and writing lyrics. Their hit song Grandness Equal to Heaven is a creative mix of moving rhythms and traditional musical instruments, including flute (笛子). A teenage fan says that Top Combine's new album helps him get through all his tests.
Although they tried to be China's No 1 Motivational (勵志的) boy band, Top Combine's debut in October, 2008 was not a big success. The band's first EP Arrival was not immediately popular. People accused the band of being unoriginal. They said TC was just like a South Korean boy band, because their fashion sense and music style were similar to those bands.
But they didn't give up. Now with their new album, their hard work looks like it's paying off.

When I was young, I wanted to be a model, so when a national competition was nearby, I asked my parents to take me for an audition(試演) and they agreed, I was selected and told I had potential. They said that for only $900 I could attend a weekend event that a number of the most famous modeling agenies(中介) from around the world would attend. At 13, my hopes of fame and fortune(名利) clouded my judgment and I begged my parents to let me go. We have never been rich, but they saw my enthusiasm and at last they agreed.

.British people are famous for drinking tea. But brother and sister, Sarah and Bobby Green, became young millionaires when they opened a chain of American-style coffee shops in the UK.

Having the idea: It started when Sarah took a weekend trip to New York to visit her brother Bobby. One evening, in a Thai restaurant, Sarah told Bobby how much she wished she could buy American-style coffee in London. Bobby suggested they started their own coffee shop. But being successful was their dream and they were not going to give up. Today, there are over 100 Coffee Republic shops all over the country and the company has £30 million a year.

“Who did this?”asked Miss Green.

There were 30 children in the classroom and all were trying to think about not only what they did, but also what our teacher already knew.

  “Who broke this window?”

“Uh, Oh.”I thought. I was the one who broke the window with a football. I did not mean to do it. I would be in a lot of trouble. How could I pay for a big window like that? I didn't want to put up my hand. But I had to tell the truth. So, I put up my hand and told the teacher I broke the window.

Miss Green went to the bookshelf and took down a book.

“I know how you like birds, Peter.”She said .“Here is a book about birds and the book is yours now. I will not punish you this time. But Peter, you should remember that I am rewarding (獎賞)you for your honesty(誠實), not for breaking the window.”

I couldn't believe it! The teacher didn't punish me and I was getting my very favorite book. Now, I still use that book, and it always reminds me of (使我想起)the lesson my teacher taught me.

   Honesty is always best.
