      My name is Becky Sharp. I'm eleven years old. I have one brother. His name's Jason and he's fourteen.
I haen't any sisters.
      We live with grandma in a small house in Chesterfield, in the north (北部) of England. My friends and I
often go to the cinema on Saturdays.
      Do you like games? I like football. My favourite team is Manchester United (曼聯(lián)隊(duì)). I sometimes play
football with my brother. I'm excellent (棒極了) but he isn't very good.
     I have seven pets-two birds and five goldfishes. I want a dog and a cat, but my mother doesn't like
them.

       John Brown, an office worker, lives in Washington, and he inherited(繼承)＄1,000,000 when he
was 23. He didn't feel happy at all. His college friends were looking for their first jobs, but he didn't
have to. John decided to keep living a simple life like everyone else. He didn't tell any of his friends
and gave＄100,000 of his money to a charity(慈善團(tuán)體) that helped poor children to live better
lives. Today he is 36. He still wears cheap shoes and clothes and owns a small car only, but he is

       Up to now John has helped 15 children from poor countries all over the world, ＄200 a month

       When John first heard about these children, he wanted to help them."It was not

exciting.
       "When I met her, I felt very very happy," he said," I saw that the money was used
