【題目】Can you lend me some money again? I want to buy something important?

_______ ! Why are you always borrow money from me?

A.Of courseB.Good ideaC.I'm not sureD.No way

【答案】D

【解析】

句意:——你能再借給我一些錢嗎?我想買一些重要的東西!獩]門!你為什么總是找我借錢?

考查交際用語,of course當(dāng)然;good idea好主意;I'm not sure我不確定;no way沒門。根據(jù)回答的后一句“你為什么老是向我借錢”可知說話人不愿意借錢,選項中只有D選項是明確表達拒絕的意思,故選D。

Nobody likes to be watched while they're trying to read a book, but we're willing to make an exception if it means getting to visit this fantastic new library in China. The incredible structure has a huge round auditorium (禮堂) in the middle, which makes the library look like a large eye.

This five storey library stands in the Binhai Cultural District of Tianjin, which was designed by Dutch design company MVRDV in collaboration (合作) with the Tianjin Urban Planning and Design Institute (TUPDI) . And it has been named "The Eye of Binhai", and covers 34, 000 square meters and can hold up to 1.2 million books.

Taking just three years to complete, the library has a reading area on the ground floor, rest areas in the middle sections and offices, meeting spaces, and computer/audio rooms at the top. We're not sure how much studying we would get done, but we'd be too far busy being surprised at it!

【題目】 Can you remember a time when somebody was king to you? Perhaps a person let you go in front of them in a queue. Maybe your sister phoned you to ask how your week was going. Or perhaps a stranger or a friend gave you a hand in a much deeper way. There are a thousand ways to offer kindness. And at a time when the world seems to have so many problem, some people have started to take the issue of kindness very seriously indeed.

Being kind is a win-win situation. It brings happiness to the receiver as well as the person who does the action. As a simple example, let’s imagine you have a workmate who always does a very good job. How about taking a moment to mention this to him? Your workmate will be happy to receive some praise, and you will probably feel good about yourself for having spread a little joy.

Many organizations try to encourage people to do kind acts, wherever and whenever they can. The idea behind this is that it doesn’t take any major plan to be kind. Perhaps the stronger supporters of this idea are the Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) Foundation, who work with schools and companies to teach people kindness skills. They operate under the beliefs that kindness can be taught and that it is contagious(有感染力的). Their activities range from suggesting kind acts to allowing their website-users to become “RAKtivists” (people who officially register themselves as activists of kindness.)

Apart fro musing your own common sense, the RAK website suggests some more imaginative ways to show kindness. Generally, these fall into three types. The first is interpersonal kindness. Some examples are donating(捐贈)old clothes to charity or writing an advantageous online idea about a restaurant that you like. The second is environmental kindness, which could mean simply recycling or organizing a group event to tidy up a local park or beach. The third type is less clear: personal kindness, which means treating yourself kindly, such as taking a walk in parks, inviting yourself to a big meal or setting yourself a goal to complain less. By being kind to yourself, _______.

1Are there a thousand ways to offer kindness?

2Why is being kind a win-win situation?

3What do many organizations encourage people to do?

4What does RAK believe?

5How can a website - user become “RAK tivists”?

6Please finish the last sentence within 15 words.
