I felt very sad not to be able to get the ticket for the film Titantic last Friday. I learned in the newspaper that ticket could be bought at the cinema box office (售票處) in Richland Hill every day between 10:00 and 4:00. Because I work from 9:00 to 5:30, the only time I could go to the cinema was during my 45-minute lunch time. It is a pity that the cinema is on the other side of the town, and the bus service between my office and Richland Hills is not very good. But if you are lucky, you can make the round(往返) trip in 45 minute.
Last Monday I stood at the bus stop for fifteen minutes, waiting for a bus. By the time I saw one come around the corner, there was not enough time left to make the trip---- so I had to go back to the office. The same thing happened on Wednesday. On Thursday my luck changed, I got on a bus right away and arrived at the cinema in twenty minutes. But when I got there, I found a long line of people at the box office. I heard one man say he had been waiting in line for fifty-five minutes. I found that I would not have enough time to wait in line, I caught the next bus and went back across the town.
By Friday I understood my only hope was to make the trip by car.it was not cheap, but I felt it would be worth ot to see the film. The trip by car only took 10 minutes, but it felt like one hour to me. When I reached the cinema, I was delighted to see that nobody was waiting in line. But quickly found out that it was because they had already sold all the tickets.

閱讀理解。
Usually, Chinese baby gets a surname (姓) from his or her parents' family name, most often the father's. Then the family chooses a given name for the newborn.
The given name will have one or two Chinese characters, though recently, people have begun to choose
some three-character given names. Chinese given names are meant to have special meanings and often
express the parents' wishes for the child, for example, Jiankang (health) and Xingfu (happiness). Some
refer to birthplace, birth time or a natural phenomenon (現(xiàn)象), such as Jing (Beijing), Chen (morning),
Dong (winter) and Xue (snow).
Meanings in given names also show the culture of an era (時代). In the old days, given names such as Wangcai (making the family prosperous and rich) were popular. During the 1950s and 1960s, many boys had given names such as "building the country" (Jianguo) and "celebrating National Day" (Guoqing). A
study showed that there were 290,000 Jianguos in the late 1960s. At that time, girls were often named
for flowers like Guihua and Hehua.
The reform and opening policies (改革開放政策) in the late 1970s gave more choices for given names, such as Bo (搏), and Yuhang (宇航). Parents wanted their children to learn more and have big dreams. In 2008, thousands of newborn babies were named Aoyun (Olympics) because of the Beijing Olympic
Games. The 2010 Shanghai World Expo made Shibo (世博) a popular given name. Over 6,200 newborn babies were named Shibo in the first nine months of 2010, according to Xinhua News Agency.
1. The given names in China can show the _____of an era.
A. life

2. What does the name "Jianguo" mean?
A. Celebrating the National Day of China.
B. Celebrating the building of New China.
C. Wishing the family to make a lot of money.
D. Wishing the person to be as beautiful as a flower.
3. The parents may name their child _____if they hope he/she will be an astronaut.
A. Guihua
B. Aoyun
C. Shibo
D. Yuhang
4. What is the passage mainly about?
