Studying hard for a few days can be tiring, but it always pays off! Most people can clearly remember the fear they felt when they realized that an exam was coming near. If you are in this situation, don’t w1. Many people have proved that there is enough time to study if you arrange it well. Here are some tips to help you.

Calm down! Fear will only make your situation much w2. You will be focusing on the horror, not the coming exam. Many times, fear can even stop you from doing well in the exam. If you are nervous, take a deep b3, and tell yourself that you can do this well.

Study the most important topics first. Exams usually cover a few main ideas, contents, or skills. When you are short of time, focus all your energies on the k4 areas. Review the most important topics in textbooks and the parts your teacher said again and again. These are all clues for you to study first.

Decide what subjects you don’t know enough about. Do more study on these subjects because some parts probably still r5 reviewing, but they will come to you more easily this time. Then you can try to focus on more challenging (具有挑戰(zhàn)性的) topics.

Studying t6 can be helpful. Since you don’t get any extra points for reviewing your lessons alone, classmates can be really helpful in studying. Ask for help from your parents, brothers or sisters. They may really enjoy being asked. From a study group, you not only have the advantage of studying with people who you are familiar with, you also have more c7 to make more friends and have more additional help through helping each other.

【題目】Answer the questions (根據(jù)短文內(nèi)容回答下列問(wèn)題)

Going camping is the best fun in the world if we know how to do it. Every healthy boy and girl, if possible, should enjoy living outdoors for a week or two like an Indian every year.

A part of four boys makes a good number for a camping trip. They will probably agree better than two or three. They can do much of the camp work in pairs. No one need to be left alone to look after the camp while others go fishing or hunting or to some nearby town for food and drinks.

It is always better to take along someone who has “camped out” before. If he cannot be found, then make your plans, decide what you will do and how you will do it, take a few cooking lessons from your mother or someone else.

First choose a leader, not because he is any more important than the rest but because if someone goes ahead and gives directions, the life in camp will run much more easily and everyone will have a better time.

If it is your first experience in camping, you had better go somewhere near home. The best place is one that can be reached by car. If we have to carry our suppliers on our backs or in a canoe, the amount we can take will be much less.

After you have had some experience near home you can safely try the other way. Where you go is of little importance. Near every large city there is some lake or river where you can find a good camping site. Campers always have more fun if they are near some water, but if such a place is not easily found where you live, go into the forest. Try to get away from towns or villages. The wider place is, the better.

1Is it a good idea for children to go camping for a week or two every year?

【題目】 The loveliest house that I have ever lived in was one that my grandparents owned. This house was called Crosslands. I lived there when I was a child. I had some very happy times at Crosslands. It seemed so big to me as a child. It had a big beautiful living room with a piano in it and a large hall. There was a mysterious drawing room which we only used on Sundays or on special occasions.

I used to be amazed by this room because it had the best furniture in it, but it was covered up with sheets(床單). It was as if all the furniture was wearing clothes and it seemed ridiculous to me that we couldn't enjoy this lovely furniture all week long.

The kitchen had lovely red floor, which was always polished, and one big heater to heat the whole room so it was always warm. There was also kind of clotheshorse(曬衣架) above it that we used to hang all our stuff on, and it was just lovely. It was a very warm room and my grandmother used to make ice cream that we'd eat there.

I spent a lot of time in the vegetable garden picking peas and eating them. My grandmother used to get really angry with me because I would pick all the vegetables and fruit for dinner, but eat half of it before she could start cooking. The homegrown food tasted so fresh and delicious. I went back to Crosslands a few years ago but it turned out to be a big mistake. They've modernized the house and gotten rid of those lovely old fireplaces. They've also knocked wall down so the drawing room and living room have become one big, modern room. I think the house has become smaller and my memory of this lovely, large, warm, comfortable house was completely different.

It taught me a valuable lesson: ________________________________________.

1Is Crosslands a house which the writer's grandparents once owned?

____________________________________________________________________________________________

2Where did the writer's family hang all their stuff?

____________________________________________________________________________________________

3Why did the writer's grandma get angry with him?

4How did the homegrown food taste?

____________________________________________________________________________________________

5Why did the writer think going back to Crosslands was a big mistake?

____________________________________________________________________________________________

6Complete the last sentence.
