Time Management
Do you ever wish you had more time? Everyone gets the same amount of time each day. But here are some ways to use those hours better. As a popular saying says, “Work smarter, not harder. ”
The most important way to manage your time is to set priorities(優(yōu)先權(quán)).【1】Also, consider whether or not they are urgent—if they need to be done right away. It can be easy to forget important tasks that aren't urgent, so make time for them.
Decide ahead of time what you're going to do at certain times each day. Schedule times not only to meet people but also to do things alone. Then you can make sure everything gets done.
【2】Are you smarter in the morning, afternoon or evening? Schedule difficult tasks for times you feel good, saving easy ones for when you're tired.
Write down what you need to do and when. I keep two to-do lists: one for the present tasks and one for larger projects I'm working on.【3】 And I don't get discouraged by looking at a long list of items I can't finish. I focus on the shorter list of each day's tasks.
【4】When someone wants to give you a task, think carefully. Is it really important enough to spend your precious(寶貴的)time on? Could someone else do it instead?
【5】If you're in charge of running a meeting, keep it short. Reading articles or talking to friends online can also use up much of your time. Don't allow it.
In the end, using time well is about making a good plan and sticking to it.
A. Think about the time of day you work best.
B. That way I can make sure I don't forget anything.
C. Figure out(弄明白)which of your tasks is the most important.
D. Often, managing time means saying no to things that aren't so important.
E. Meetings also tend to be a waste of time, so avoid them whenever possible.

【1】There is no need to hide it. When people get to know you are a shy person, they may understand you better. It will also help you feel easier in talks.
【2】 When you smile, people will think you're friendly and want to talk with you. Remember that all people have feelings and most people will stay away from an angry-looking face.
You shouldn't keep quiet at a party all the time. If you find it hard to start a talk, you can say something nice about people around you. 【3】 It must be very helpful for you to start a talk! And after you begin to talk to someone or smile at someone for the first time, remember to say "I did it! " to yourself.

【題目】 Last week I went to Corsica with my friends on vacation. It was my first visit to the island! We took the ship from Toulon, France, to the city Ajaccio. Although Toulon and Ajaccio seemed quite close, it took us eight hours. We chatted and played card games to kill time.
When we got there, I got a surprise because of the weather. It was already October! But we just needed to wear T-shirts and shorts. We went to the beach to enjoy the sunshine and some of my friends even went swimming in the sea. The Corsican scenery (風(fēng)景) was so beautiful. One day we took the local train to another beautiful city named Corte. We visited the citadel (城堡) and the museum where we learnt more about Corsican history and enjoyed the beautiful views of the city.
The food in Corsica was fantastic and we often visited the market to taste something delicious. We also went to some local restaurant for dinner and ate fresh seafood. At the end of the trip, we were very sad to leave and I hope to return to Corsica again some day.
