越人盛稱五泄,然皆聞而知之,陶周望雖極言五泄之好,其實(shí)不曾親見,與我等也。發(fā)郡城凡二日至諸暨縣,縣去五泄尚七十余里,次日始行,一路多頑山,無卷石可入目者。余私念:看山數(shù)百里外,敝舟羸馬,艱辛萬狀,今諸山態(tài)貌若此,何以償此路債?周望亦謂乃弟:“余輩夸張五泄太過,若爾,當(dāng)奈中郎笑話何?”獨(dú)靜虛以為不然。頃之,至青口,兩山夾天如線,山石玲瓏峭削,若疊若鏤,數(shù)里一壁,潭水滑滑流壁下。一壁上有古木一株,上人云是沉香樹,一年一花,猿猱所不到。其他非奇壁則皆秾花異草幔山而生紅白青綠燦爛如錦。映山紅有高七八尺者,與他山絕異,因相顧大叫曰:“奇哉!得此足償路債,不怕袁郎輕薄也。”王靜虛曰:“未也,爾輩遇小小丘壑,便爾張皇如是,明日見五泄,當(dāng)不狂死耶?”靜虛曾習(xí)定五泄三年,以是知之極詳。余與公望聞之,喜甚,皆跳吼沙石上。緩步十余里,始至五泄僧房。靜虛曰:“牛羊下矣,五泄留供來日朝餐!
