Do you have any online classes? It is possible to take classes at home by yourself. All you need is a computer and a headset.
However, most students don't seem to like online classes. According to a recent survey, only 33 percent of students would take such classes. Over 1,500 students from 10 cities took the survey.
Many students said it was difficult to focus on studying while taking online classes. This was true for Lian Ruohan, 15, at the Affiliated(附屬的) High School of Peking University. “There are no classmates, no real teachers watching me. I can surf the Internet or do other things if I want to. It's much harder to always stay focused,” she said.
Lian prepares a lot before taking her classes to make sure she will pay attention. She also pushes herself to communicate with teachers. Students can come up with or answer questions while taking online classes.
But Wen Jiayi, 14, at Yuying Middle School Attached to Chengdu No.7 High School, thinks online interaction isn't enough. “The online teachers don't really get to know me. When I don't hand in homework, all I get is a short message instead of real concern,” she said.
However, online classes still have other advantages. “It saves time and money compared with taking offline classes. Also, if I don’t understand some parts of a lesson, I can watch it over again.” Lian said.

【1】根據(jù)第二段“only 33 percent of students would take such classes. Over 1,500 students from 10 cities took the survey”可知超過一千五百的學生參加調查,只有33%上網(wǎng)課,計算得出超過495的學生上網(wǎng)課。 Over 495 students.
根據(jù)第三段“There are no classmates, no real teachers watching me. I can surf the Internet or do other things if I want to. It's much harder to always stay focused”可知沒有同學沒有真實的老師監(jiān)督我,她會上網(wǎng)或做其他她想做的事。 Because there are no classmates, no real teachers watching her.
【3】根據(jù)第四段“Students can come up with or answer questions while taking online classes”上網(wǎng)課時學生可以想出或回答問題。 They can come up with or answer questions.
【4】根據(jù)第五段“Wen Jiayi, 14, at Yuying Middle School Attached to Chengdu No.7 High School, thinks online interaction isn't enough”溫佳怡認為網(wǎng)上的交流不足。 Wen Jiayi.

Are you shy? If you are. you are not alone. In fact, close lo 50 percent of people are shy Almost 80 percent of people feel shy at some point in their lives. These days. shyness is becoming more and more common. Now, scientists are trying to understand shyness. They have some interesting ideas about why people are shy.
Is it possible to be born shy? Many scientists say yes. They say 15 to 20 percent of babies behave shyly. These babies are a little quieter and more watchful than other babies. Interestingly, these shy babies usually have shy parents. As a result, scientists think that some shyness is genetic.
Family size might cause people to be shy as well. Scientists at Harvard University studied said children. They found that 66 percent of them had elder brothers and sisters. The scientists said that these children were often bullied by their elder brothers and sisters. As a result, they became shy. At the same time, children with no brothers and sisters may be shy as well. Growing up alone, they often play by themselves. They are not able to learn the same social skills as children from big families.
You may also be shy because of where you were born. When scientists studied shyness in different countries, they found surprising differences. In Japan, most people said they were shy. But in Israel (以色列),only one of three people said so. What explains the difference? One scientist says the Japanese and Israelis have different opinions of failure. In Japan, when people do not succeed they feel bad about themselves. They blame (責備)themselves for their failure. In Israel, the opposite is true. Israelis often blame failure on outside reasons, such as family, teachers, friends or bad luck. In Israel, freedom of opinion and risk taking are strongly supported. This may be why Israelis worry less about failure and are less shy.
For shy people, it can be difficult to make friends, speak in class, and even get a good job. But scientists say you can get over your shyness. They suggest trying new things and practicing conversations. And don't forget if you are shy. You are not the only one.

One day long ago, some fishermen set out to sea in their ship. One of them brought his pet monkey along for the long journey.
When they were far out at sea, a terrible storm broke their ship. Everyone fell into the sea, and the monkey was going to die. Suddenly a dolphin appeared and picked him up.
They soon reached an island and the monkey came down from the dolphin's back. The dolphin asked the monkey, “Do you know this place? ”The monkey replied, “Yes, I do. The king on the island is my father, so you must treat me very well.”
“That's a lie,” the dolphin thought. Because he knew no one lived on the island. The dolphin said, “Well, well, so you are a prince(王子)! Now you can be a king!” The monkey asked, “How can I be a king?”
