【題目】 For thousands of years, humans have explored(探索) the Earth. Nowadays, we are exploring space. Astronomers (天文學(xué)家) are modern-day explorers. Now, many astronomers are looking for new planets and new places of humans to live in the future. But where do astronomers start looking?
First of all, astronomers look for a star. That’s because our own Earth moves around a star (the Sun). More importantly, it is the correct distance(距離) from the Sun for heat and light. So when astronomers have found the star, they look at the planets around it. In recent years, astronomers have found nearly 400 new planets with stars. However, many of these planets are either too near to the star or too far away.
However, if the planet is in a good position, astronomers look for three key things: water, air and rock. Water is important because all life needs water. Humans can drink it and they can also grow plants with water. And plants produce air for humans to breathe and food to eat. Rock on a planet is also important. That’s because there is often water under the rock.
After many years of scrutinizing, astronomers have found a planet that is similar to the Earth. It’s Gliese 581g and it’s near a star. The astronomers think it has water and rock and the average(平均的) temperature is between-310C and -120C. That’s cold, but not colder than Antarctica or Arctic Circle, for example, Gliese 581g is bigger than the Earth. A year on Gliese 581g is only 37 Earth days instead of 365. But astronomers do not think there are big differences and some them thing Gliese 581g will be a new Earth. However, Gliese 581g is twenty light years from the Earth.
【1】What do astronomers have to find first before starting to look for a new place for humans to have?

【2】What does the rock on a planet tell us?

B. We may discover water under it.
C. The planet is too near to the Sun.
D. There can be air around the rock.
【3】What does the underlined word “scrutinizing” mean in the last paragraph?
A. discussingB. waitingC. lookingD. traveling
【4】What’s the main idea of the text?

【題目】閱讀理解
Today we are developing a new idea—Money is the measure of all things. More and more, people are being judged by what they own, and not by their good qualities. This is certainly true among many people in China.
According to a survey that was done in 2013, China is the most materialistic(物欲的) country in the world. Twenty-three percent of Chinese said they measured success by the things they owned (cars, homes, jewelry, designer clothes) compared with just 21 percent in America, 20 percent in Canada, and 16 percent in Britain.
This love of materialistic has spread into schools where some kids like to show off their Apple Watches, iPhone7 and expensive running shoes. Some poorer students now feel worried by their richer classmates and sad by their poor families. In some cases this has affected their performance in school.
But having rich parents doesn't automatically(自動地) bring good grades and having poor parents doesn't certainly bring bad grades. It is hard wok that is the key to success, not the cost of your running shoes. And hard work is what develops good characters, not money, that should be the measure of all things.
(1)What is the measure of all things for many people in China?
A.Success.
B.The good quality.
C.The good grades.

(2)According to the survey, how many Chinese judged success by the things they owned?
A.23% of Chinese.
B.21% of Chinese.
C.20% of Chinese.
D.16% of Chinese.
(3)Why do some students like showing off expensive things in school?
A.Because their families are very rich.
B.Because of the worship of materialism.
C.Because expensive things can bring good grades.
D.Because they are good at all kinds of subjects.
(4)What can we infer from the passage?
A.Poor students can hardly get good grades.
B.Rich students have the worship of materialism.
C.We should correct the worship of materialism.
D.Canadians have the least the worship of materialism in rate.

Are you a Disney fan? Do you know the princesses well? How did Snow White survive? How did Sleeping Beauty finally w up after sleeping a long time?
It seems a kind-hearted person always comes to save the princess, l a prince or a god-mother (救星). Princesses can't protect themselves, t they are very pretty and nice. They always need the help of others.
However, in real life, women can't put their life in the hands of a prince-like man. They need to work and even f for their own happiness. The traditional image (形象) of a princess is getting out of date.
Recently, Disney posted the “top ten r for being a modern princess”. You will find them have nothing to do with beauty. Instead, more attention is paid to things such as being honest, caring for others, trying your best and l healthily. Princesses need to depend on themselves to get out of trouble. It's not w to wait for a prince's help.
It's not the first time Disney princesses have c up with the society's development. In 1950, Princess Bell loved reading when education was a man's special r. Bell showed the improvement of women's status (地位) in society.
Princesses are s beautiful, but the inner character is more important for being a real princess.
