Li Hua, a middle school student in Yangzhou, doesn’t have time for breakfast. He always does his
homework until very late at night and can’t get up for breakfast the next morning. There are many other
students like Li. They don’t have healthy eating habits. Scientists from Southern University studied 1,790
students in Nanjing last year, according to the Xinhua News Agency. They found that 30% of middle
school students don’t have breakfast and 41.3 percent of students only eat the foods they like most.
These bad eating habits may make the students fatter and affect the development of our bodies. A
study by the Ministry of Health(衛(wèi)生部) in 2005 showed that about 20 percent of people aged 13 to 20
have a nutritional imbalance(營養(yǎng)失衡).This could cause high blood pressure and other serious problems.
Nutritional balance is important - especially for students. It can prevent health problems like diabetes(糖尿病). Proper nutrition(營養(yǎng)) also gives students enough energy to study.
In order to improve students’ nutrition, many schools in China provide food between meals, such as
milk and fruit. Over half of Chinese middle and primary schools provide nutritious meals.
However, some students don’t like the provided meals and have instant noodles(方便面) or KFC
instead. Hu Yongzhen, an expert from Southeast University, suggests that schools should improve their
nutritional meals in order to attract students. If possible, they should use the help of nutritional experts to
prepare meals for students.
     Tips to keep healthy:
★You shouldn’t eat what you like. You should eat all healthy food including meat, vegetables, fruit,
bread, noodles and milk. every day.
★Eat the right things for the seasons. In summer, people may sweat easily because of the hot weather. It is better to add a little more salt to food when you exercise in hot weather. And winter is coming, we can eat more red carrots which are full of vitamin C. It also helps stop a cough.

任務(wù)型閱讀。
Many people love drinking bottled (瓶裝的) water because of the convenience. They believe that it is
better to drink bottled water than to drink water out of the tap.
However, all those bottles are made from oil and also pollute the environment. For example, Americans
buy 29 million bottles a year. They buy more bottled water than any other nation in the world.  In order to
make all these bottles, makers use 17 millions barrels of oil. It's enough to keep a million cars going for
 twelve months.
As we know, recycling bottles can help a lot. Instead of being thrown out with the trash, bottles can be
turned into some useful things like clothing or other things. Unfortunately, for every six bottles we use, only
one of them is put into the recycling box. The rest are sent to the special places that keep trash.  Or, even
worse, they end up as trash on the land and in rivers, lakes, and the ocean. The fact is that bottles take
many hundreds of years to change into small pieces.
Water is good for you.  But think about how often you use bottles, and see if you can make a change: if
you take one to school, don't throw it away, bring it home and refill (再注滿) it for the next day.
A) Reasons of drinking bottled water:
1. People love it because it's _____.
2. People think drinking it is _____ than drinking the water out of the tap.
B) Materials of the bottles:
3. The material of 29 million bottles can keep a million cars going for_____.
C)The ways of doing with the bottles:
4. We should _____ them but not throw them away. They can be made into some useful things.
5. We can _____ the used bottles if we need to take water to drink.
