【題目】 If you always put off doing things you should do or would like to do, you have experienced procrastination(拖延癥).

Do you have procrastination because you are lazy? In fact, lazy people don’t do anything and are just fine with it. Procrastinators, however, want to do something but can’t force(促成) themselves to start.

There’s a goal in your brain, for example, what are the tasks to be completed today? What goals need to be achieved this year? Everything is in control.

But at the same time, your brain will also have a love of freedom, know how to enjoy yourself. Whenever you secretly make up your mind to complete a task, this “you” will give you a list of temptations. And you will fall step by step.

So if you are a procrastinator, perhaps you spend lots of time watching TV, playing video games, checking WeChat, eating, cleaning or walking back and forth through the room. Afterwards, you feel powerless and have the feeling of guilt(內(nèi)疚) and trouble.

We all have procrastination more or less. __________ For example, it took Da Vinci(達·芬奇) sixteen years to complete the smile of Mona Lisa. In the middle of the delay(拖延), he went to study and changed his idea of light and shadow.

Excellent people also need to procrastinate, so that inspiration(靈感) has more time in their heads to collide(沖突) with each other. So procrastination is not always terrible. What’s terrible is that we don’t know why we procrastinate. The best way to deal with procrastination is to really understand your heart and find out the reason why it’s not easy for you to start. Some people procrastinate to think, while others procrastinate to escape(逃避).

Do you have the habit of procrastination in your daily life? What is the reason?

1If you are a procrastinator, you might spend much time doing many activities EXСЕРТ __________.

A.checking WeChatB.doing the task nowC.walking around the roomD.playing video games

2The underlined word temptation in Paragraph 4 means “__________” in Chinese.

A.打擊B.快樂C.誘惑D.計劃

3Which of the following sentences can be put in the __________?

A.However, you are more procrastinating than those successful people.

B.Procrastination is always a good thing to everyone.

C.There are many ways to deal with procrastination.

D.Excellent people may be more procrastinating than you.

4The writer thinks __________.

A.sometimes people need to procrastinateB.procrastinators don’t want to do meaningful tasks

C.people have procrastination because they are lazyD.procrastination always gets in the way of success

【題目】Fairy tale(童話) fiction or not?

One hot debate topic from I Can I Bibi (《奇葩說》) has become popular on Weibo: Should parents tell their children that fairy tales are fake(假的)? Some people think we shouldn’t. Fairy tales give kids hope and teach life lessons. But others think that children need the ability to distinguish (區(qū)分) real from fake, and this role is best played by their parents. What’s your opinion?

YES

Hu Enqi, 16

There is no doubt that the world of fairy tales is beautiful, but the real world is cruel (殘酷的). If children are always deep in fairy tales, they might not adjust(調(diào)節(jié)) themselves to society. That’s why there are so many “giant babies” in society. It is parents’ duty to tell children that beauty and darkness are coexistent(共存的). They need to be stronger to adapt to (適應(yīng)) society.

Li Ziyi, 16

It’s important to tell kids the wisdom in fairy tales, not whether or not they’re fake. If I’m a parent, I will tell my kids: “Dear, the Queen’s poisoned apple is fake, but in our daily lives, fake apples may be many other seductions (誘惑) that you need to be careful of.” Fairy tales can never solve all problems. After all, dangers are always present in both fairy tales and reality (現(xiàn)實).

NO

Yuan Siyi, 16

Not every fairy tale is fake — they’re from our lives. The essence (本質(zhì)) of fairy tales is to teach children the most basic truths based on the real world. The content of fairy tales is not meaningless. Parents could look on them as partners to children when they grow up. Children will understand the truth step by step.

Hu Pei, 16

As a kid bathed in fairy tales, I don’t want to be told that they are fake. Fairy tales get kids to read, help shape their world outlook, encourage their imaginations and give them entertainment.Even if parents tell the kids the cruel reality, they may miss the point. Instead, they may be filled with fear of the future and the world, which is not our purpose.

1According to the passage, “the giant babies” are ___________.

A.those babies who can’t grow upB.those babies who are big in shape

C.those adults who can adapt to society wellD.those adults who can’t distinguish real from fake

2According to Li Ziyi, ___________.

A.we shouldn’t tell children fairy tales are fake

B.some fairy tales have wisdom while others don’t

C.there are many dangers in different shapes in reality

D.“poisoned apples” needn’t be afraid of because they are fake

3From the passage, we can know _________.

A.in fairy tales everything is beautiful and good

B.fairy tales can give kids hope and teach life lessons

C.fairy tales have nothing to do with the real world

D.fairy tales mainly need to tell kids cruelty of reality
