Licking cleans a wound,and saliva(唾液)has chemicals that kill germs(細(xì)菌)可知,舔干凈一個傷口,且唾液里有化學(xué)物質(zhì)可以殺死細(xì)菌。

To avoid diseasesmany animals have good living habits為了避免疾病,很多動物有好的生活習(xí)慣,再根據(jù)Horses poop far away from the grass they eat.

When a sick animal stops eating,it can stop germs from getting necessary things“當(dāng)一個生病的動物停止了吃東西,它可以阻止細(xì)菌去獲取必需的東西”可知,填入necessary。

Another way that animals heal themselves is to raise their body temperature“另外一種動物治意他們自己是提高他們身體的溫度”以及Fish move to warmer waters“魚兒會選擇跑去溫暖的水區(qū)”可知,為了升高他們的體溫,故選D。

To stay healthy, animals have their own ways to heal(治愈)themselves. Now let's get to know their special skills“為了保持健康,動物有它們自己的方式去治愈他們自己.現(xiàn)在讓我們來了解下他們特殊的技能吧”可知,文章主要介紹了動物治愈他們自己的4種方法。這類信息主要是從雜志中出現(xiàn)的信息,故選B。

做細(xì)節(jié)理解題時要先劃關(guān)鍵詞,再根據(jù)關(guān)鍵詞定位到文中的某一段即可做出題目。

例如第1題。根據(jù)關(guān)鍵詞licking可知,定位至Licking cleans a woundand saliva(唾液)has chemicals that kill germs(細(xì)菌)可知,舔干凈一個傷口,且唾液里有化學(xué)物質(zhì)可以殺死細(xì)菌。故選C。

Eating food is enjoyable, but cooking can be challenging. For those who don’t have basic cooking skills, or are too busy working or traveling, one thing can save them-- instant noodles.

This year marks the 61st anniversary of the invention of instant noodles. Ever since they were created by Japanese businessman Momofuku Ando in 1958, instant noodles have been popular around the world. In China, the product has almost become a necessity for those who travel by train.

There are some fun facts about instant noodles: The total length of the noodles in one package is 51 meters. The first instant noodles were considered a luxury product. When they first came to Japanese supermarkets in 1958, they were 6 times the cost of fresh udon noodles. Japanese people even voted instant noodles as one of their best inventions of the 20th century.

For instant noodles, as well as many other “instant” foods, convenience is the key selling point. They are supposed to make our lives easier.

____________________. For example, in wars, soldiers eat compressed biscuits and canned meat because they don’t need to cook these foods. And in the 1960s, frozen dinners of fried chicken, mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables became popular in the US. This is because more women started working and had no time to cook.

In recent years, however, online meal-ordering services have brought challenge to instant foods. Uber Eats is a popular app of this kind in the United States. In China, we have Ele.me,Dianping and Meituan. These services offer not only convenience, but also more choices and tastier food. According to the World Instant Noodle Association, instant noodle sales dropped by 17 percent in China as of 2016.

This might show that Chinese people are now more interested in having higher-quality diets and not just simply filling their bellies, experts say.

Choose the best answer.

Should we allow modern buildings to be built next to older buildings in a historic area of a city? In order to answer this question, we must first examine whether people really want to preserve the historic feel of an area. Not all historical buildings are attractive. However, there may be other reasons—for example, economic reasons—why they should be preserved. So, let us assume that historical buildings are both attractive and important to the majority of people. What should we do then if a new building is needed?

In my view, new architectural styles can exist perfectly well alongside an older style. Indeed, there are many examples in my own hometown of Tours where modern designs have been placed very successfully next to old buildings. As long as the building in question is pleasing and does not dominate (影響) its surroundings too much, it often improves the attractiveness of the area.

It is true that there are examples of new buildings which have spoilt (破壞) the area they are in, but the same can be said of some old buildings too. Yet people still speak against new buildings in historic areas. I think this is simply because people are naturally conservative and do not like change.

Although we have to respect people’s feelings as fellow users of the buildings, I believe that it is the duty of the architect and planner to move things forward. If we always reproduced what was there before, we would all still be living in caves. Thus, I would argue against copying previous architectural styles and choose something fresh and different, even though that might be the more risky choice.

1What does the author say about historical buildings in the first paragraph?

A. Some of them are not attractive.

B. Most of them are too expensive to preserve.

C. They are more pleasing than modern buildings.

D. They have nothing to do with the historic feel of an area.

2Why do people still speak against new buildings in historic areas according to the author?

A. Because historical buildings are both attractive and important to the majority of people.

B. Because new architectural styles can exist perfectly well alongside an older style.

C. Because people like following old ideas and do not like change.

D. Because people have to respect new architectural styles.

3Which of the following is true according to the author?

A. We should reproduce the same old buildings.

B. Buildings should not dominate their surroundings.

C. Some old buildings have spoilt the area they are in.

D. No one understands why people speak against new buildings.

4By using “move things forward” in the last paragraph, the author probably means “________”.

A. Destroy old buildingsB. Put things in a different place

C. Choose new architectural stylesD. Respect people’s feelings for historical buildings

5What is the main purpose of the passage?

A. To explain why people dislike change.

B. To warn that we could end up with living in caves.

C. To admit how new buildings have ruined their surroundings.

D. To argue that modern buildings an be built in historic areas.

6What is the author’s attitude towards the topic “Should we allow modern buildings to be built next to older buildings in a historic area of a city?”

A. UninterestedB. SupportiveC. NeutralD. Disapproved

1You may have heard of the famous saying, “East or west, home is the best.”2home”這個詞對你來說意味著什么? How do you say the word in French, in Chinese, in your language? 3Although people usually know that the word means, it sometimes has no exact translation. It’s not surprising, because the idea of home is different from country to country, and from person to person. It’s the cooking, eating, talking, playing and sleeping that go on inside. And at home you usually feel safe and relaxed.

5Homes look different in different countries. They also have different things inside. For example, in cold northern Europe, there’s a fire in the living room or kitchen and all the chairs face it. In the south, where the sun shines a lot and it’s more important to keep the heat out, there are small windows and cool stone floors.
