【題目】According to the 2018 World Happiness Report, Denmark(丹麥)ranked (排名)No.3! And it’s not surprising at all! In 2016, Denmark ranked No.l , then No.2 in 2017. In fact, Denmark has been on the list for many years. Why? Because people who live in Denmark know the secret to happiness— “hygge”. But what is “hygge”?
The Danish(丹麥的)word “hygge” (pronounced “hoo-ga”)is often translated in English as “coziness”. But “hygge” is more than that. It's also about spending peaceful time in a quiet environment with no calendar. It’s about spending time alone or spending time with family.
Danish people are very good at “hygge”. For example, they create a “ hygge” environment by burning candles in classrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, etc. According to some reports, Danish people bum more candles every year than people from any other European country.
However, “hygge” isn’t just about creating a nice and warm environment; it is best enjoyed with family members and friends. With up to 17 hours of darkness every day in winter, Danish people spend more time indoors as a result, and they often get together for a meal or hot drinks, without the distraction(使人分心的事物)of technology or the stress of daily life.

Like many other primary school pupils, nine-year-old Minnal went abroad with her parents during the recent school holidays. It may come as a surprise to learn that she neither shopped at a mall nor ate at a fancy restaurant. She climbed a mountain.
For eight days in May, Minnal hiked nearly 100 kilometres to reach the 5364-metre-high Everest(珠穆朗瑪峰) base camp in Nepal. The girl talked about her special trip, “I thought this was the most meaningful trip for me.” It has not been confirmed(證實(shí)) if the Primary Four pupil is indeed the youngest Singaporean to reach the base camp, as no such records are kept.
Everest’s south base camp in Nepal is where climbers planning to climb the world’s highest peak, stay to get used to the altitude(海拔高度). However, Minnal can’t climb the peak(山峰), because climbers have to be at least sixteen years old to climb the peak.

Minnal shared that most of the eight days were spent hiking ten to fifteen kilometres from 8a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, with the help of three local guides. Luckily, she added, nobody fell ill with altitude sickness. She also said that she is thinking of climbing Everest in the future.

According to a new survey, student safety has become a big problem. Nearly 50% of students say they are worried about robbery(搶劫) on the way to and from school. Now in many big cities of China, many schools start a new lesson: self-protection. Students like this lesson because there are no exams or boring classes. And they can learn how to save lives and know how to stop danger before it really happens.
Lin Li, a teacher from Yantai and a self-protection expert(專(zhuān)家) , gives young students advice on how to deal with danger.
If you are in a traffic accident
If a car hurts you, you should remember the car number. If it is a bicycle, try to call your parents before you let the rider go. This is because you don't know how seriously you are hurt.
If it is raining hard and there is lightning
Don't stay in high places and stay away from trees. Stay away from forms of metal. Lightning is electricity and metal is a conductor of electricity.
When there is a fire
Get away as fast as you can. Put wet things on your body and try to find an exit. Do not take the lift.
If someone is drowning
You need to get them out of the water first and press on their chest(胸腔). If you can't swim, don't get into the water. Cry out for help. Remember that danger is never as far away as you think. Take care of yourself at all times !
If you are robbed(搶劫)
Keep calm. If you cannot cry for help or run away, give the robber your money. Try to remember what the robber looks like and tell the police later.

【題目】閱讀下列短文,根據(jù)短文內(nèi)容填寫(xiě)表格,每空限填一詞。
Two days ago, I had taken a test in Biology, and I knew that I would get my scores in the same class today.
After the bell rang, every student sat in his or her seat impatiently. Then, one by one, the teacher called our names.
As each paper was given back to the correct student, the front of the answer paper would always be turned to face the ground and the paper itself would be slightly folded (折疊) to prevent anyone from seeing.
In fact, folding each test paper is a way to make sure that each student sees only his or her own scores. The scores are seen as private information not to be announced or shown to others. As a way to keep the students’ score records secret, each student is given an online account (賬號(hào)). Each student can use it to check his or her grades on the official school website.
Protecting students’ private information always comes first in US schools that want to free students from unnecessary pressure(壓力). School reports are guarded closely to prevent poor grades from damaging a student’s dignity and reputation (尊嚴(yán)和聲譽(yù)), which are for himself or herself only.
However, some insist that although students’ feelings and self-dignity are easily hurt, they cannot be forever protected. They say that school also teaches their students to make themselves stronger in mind, and the classroom should show the reality of competition in society. Scores that everyone can see might better encourage students to work harder to be better than others.
