根據(jù)文章倒數(shù)第三段中的“No free lunches because of personal food differences”可知,這兩個項目不會提供免費的午餐,因為人們有不同的口味,故選B。

Leaving your tech behind may seem difficult, but if you lose yourself in nature, you’ll probably forget all about it. Scientist Albert Einstein once said, “Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.”

In the US, June is Great Outdoors Month. They want to get more kids outside to have active fun once again. Former(前任) US President Barack Obama wrote in a paper declaring(宣告) the day in 2012, “Nature offers each of us the chance to get active, discover something, and make our relationships with family and friends strong.”

The US Union Creek Resort website noted, “We all know how fast life can be, so it’s never too soon or too late to create happy memories that we will cherish and share forever.”

Besides making us feel happy, science supports the idea that outdoor activities can cut down stress. “Fresh air and sunlight have the largest advantages,” wrote Susanne Preston, a mental health expert at South University, US. “With increased exposure(暴露) to natural sunlight, incidents of seasonal affective disorder(季節(jié)性情緒失調(diào)) fall and the vitamin D in people’s skin helps to relax their moods(心情).”

I had always been anxious to have a sister. This summer, my dream came true in my Chinese host family. When I arrived in China, my host family welcomed me warmly.

My new sister, Josie, was very kind. She was outgoing and has long black hair. She explained Chinese customs(風俗) to me. Her family together helped me understand China during the summer. It was great!

Even though we had trouble understanding different habits and cultures, we enjoyed talking about them. At the beginning I wasn’t very good at Chinese, but we could always understand each other by using body language. Josie and I shared many common hobbies. We both liked swimming, singing, reading and cooking. One day I cooked some German food, my native meal, for my host family. The mashed potatoes(土豆泥) were so delicious that Josie’s dad ate two bowls. It was hard for a foreigner to live far from home, so I got homesick(想家的) sometimes. However, the warmth of my host family made it comfortable for me to live in a foreign country.

1The writer probably comes from Germany.

2Josie was outgoing with long brown hair.

3Josie helped the writer understand more about China.

4The writer didn’t have any trouble communicating with the host family.

5The passage is mainly about the writer’s life in China.
