On January 27, in order to win the new pneumonia Resistance War(抗擊新型肺炎戰(zhàn)), the Ministry of Education issued(教育部公布)a notice on putting off the start time of school in spring 2020. It was said that school should not start before March. The exact start time of school will depend on situations and further notices. However, many parents are very worried that putting off the start of school may affect children's studies. If they have such a long winter vacation, children won't learn any knowledge, read books or study at all.1Staying at home for a long time will make them keep eating, sleeping and playing, which seriously affect their physical and mental health.

In short, the close of school influences learning and develops bad habits, 2Local education departments have also issued(發(fā)布)a notice, that is, to organize online teaching and create a network platform(平臺), where necessary courses will be shown every day, 'and online teaching will be given by excellent teachers of the subject, and students can learn at home through computer or mobil network.

3It cannot only keep students indoors and not worry about the infection(感染)of the disease, but also make them study at home, improve their learning ability, and truly achieve "no suspension of classes". Both the platform itself and the recorded lesson resources are more useful, and are welcomed by parents and teachers.

Of course, except for learning at home, it is also necessary to teach children about health knowledge, especially how to keep away from touching virus and other knowledge popularization;at the same time, 4which is good for physical health at home.

A.It should be said that such a method is very good.

B.it is also necessary for children to do some physical exercises or some games,

根據(jù)空前句“If they have such a long winter vacation, children won't learn any knowledge, read books or study at all.”可知,如果他們有這么長的寒假,孩子們就不會學(xué)到任何知識,根本不會讀書或?qū)W習(xí);根據(jù)空后句“Staying at home for a long time will make them keep eating, sleeping and playing, which seriously affect their physical and mental health.”

根據(jù)前文說,學(xué)校的關(guān)閉影響了學(xué)習(xí),養(yǎng)成了壞習(xí)慣,結(jié)合空后句“Local education departments have also issued(發(fā)布)a notice”可知,當(dāng)?shù)亟逃块T也發(fā)布了通知,即組織在線教學(xué),創(chuàng)建網(wǎng)絡(luò)平臺,這是在說如何避免這些問題,所以“so how should we avoid these problems?”符合語境。故選D

3句意:應(yīng)該說這樣的方法很好。

根據(jù)空后“It cannot only keep students indoors and not worry about the infectionno suspension of classes”可知,它不僅可以讓學(xué)生呆在室內(nèi),不擔(dān)心疾病的感染,而且可以使他們在家學(xué)習(xí),提高學(xué)習(xí)能力,真正實現(xiàn)“不停課”,這是在說這種方法的好處,所以“It should be said that such a method is very good.”符合上下文語境。故選A。

4句意:孩子們也有必要做一些體育鍛煉或一些游戲。

根據(jù)空后“which is good for physical health at home. 這對在家時的身體健康有好處!笨芍,空處是說對身體有好處的運動,結(jié)合選項可知“it is also necessary for children to do some physical exercises or some games”符合語境。故選B。

【題目】 China says 16 endangered finless porpoises(江豚)have been found dead since the beginning of the year and experts blame water pollution and climate change for pushing the species toward extinction

The freshwater porpoise-popularly known in Chinese as the"river pig"-mainly lives in China's Yangtze River and two lakes linked to the river

Authorities(官方)have discovered 10dead porpoises in Dongting Llake in the central province of Hunan since March, according to a statement by the government of Yueyang City, which is located on the lake's shore Another six dead porpoises have been found in Poyang Lake in the eastern province of Jiangxi since the beginning of the year Experts warn that the species will be extinct within a matter of years

Wang Kexiong, a researcher at China's Institute of Hydrobiology, said water pollution, shipping and sand dredging(挖掘)were all possible contributing factors to the recent deaths

Many rivers in China have become heavily polluted with poisonous waste from factories and farms-pollution blamed on more than three decades of rapid economic growth and slow enforcement(實施)of environmental protection laws

The report said climate change also could be to blame as the dry weather has caused water levels to drop and makes it more difficult for the porpoises to find food Tests have shown that some of the porpoises are believed to have died of starvation(饑餓).

In 2006, China was estimated(估計)to have only 1,200 finless porpoises left That same year, the Baiji-a freshwater dolphin also native to the Yangtze River-was declared extinct Earlier this year, a survey found just 65"river pigs"in Dongting Lake and 300-400 in Poyang Lake

Following the recent deaths, Yueyang City promised to investigate and increase protection of the remaining porpoises in Donting Lake

A.49

B.55

C.59

D.65

2The following factors of river pigs' deaths are mentioned EXCEPT__________.

A.water pollution

B.climate change

C.food shortage

D.illegal fishing

3We can learn from the text that__________.

A.river pigs' deaths can be reduced if measures are taken in advance

B.river pigs' deaths are completely caused by human beings' activities

C.climate change is likely to stop economic growth in China

D.economic growth always has a negative effect on the environment

4The number of river pigs is listed in Paragraph 7 to________

A.show they have become extinct

B.call for more effective protection

C.show they are on the edge of extinction

【題目】 I knew I was not supposed to be quite so excited. I was too old for that. At age eleven, the oldest and my mom’s “grown up” girl, I had to keep calm. I was in middle school after all. But every chance I got, when I was alone, I_______ each present under the tree. I read every tag(標(biāo)簽)and felt every bag, guessing at the things within. I had examined each gift so often that I could tell which ______ went to which person without looking at the tags.

It had been a hard year for my family. Whenever my mom looked over at the tree and presents, she would sigh(嘆氣)and warn us, “There won’t be as much for Christmas this year. Try not to be______ .” Christmas had been a time for my parents to spoil(寵愛)us. I had heard the phrase “giving is better than receiving”, but getting presents was the whole point!

On Christmas morning, we ______waited in the hallway until Dad told us everything was ready. We rushed into the living room and had to wait and ______ while other family members opened their presents, but as the time passed we lost our self-control.

“Here’s another one for you,” said Mom as she handed me a bag. I looked at it, confused. Having spent so much time examining the presents before Christmas, I______ this one. It was for my mom!

It was a blow dryer. While this may seem only a simple gift, to me it was so much more. But, in my world, where receiving was more important than giving, my mom’s act of selflessness was difficult to_______. I thought in disbelief about how much my mom must love me to do that.

I have always remembered that Christmas with love. As an adult with children, I can now see my mom was finding an even greater_______in her Christmas because giving truly is better than receiving. To me, my mom’s simple act meant the world.

【題目】 Large gatherings such as weddings and meetings can be socially flooded with people. Learning people's names only adds to the stress. A new facial-recognition app could come to the rescue, but experts suggest people should be careful while using it.

The app, called SocialRecall, connects names with faces through smartphone cameras and facial recognition (識別), avoiding the need for formal introductions. "It breaks down these social barriers we all have when meeting somebody," says Barry Sandrew, who created the app and tested it at an event attended by about 1,000 people.

After receiving an invitation to download SocialRecall from an event organizer, the user is asked to take two selfies and sign in through social media. At the event, the app is active within a previously set geographical area. When a user points his or her phone camera at an attendee's face, the app identifies (識別) the person, displays the person's name, and links to his or her social media information. To protect Privacy (隱私), it recognizes only those who have agreed to use. And the app's creators say it automatically removes users' data after an event.

Ann Cavoukian, an expert who runs the Privacy by Design Center of Excellence praises the app's creators for these protective measures. She added, however, that when people choose to share their personal information with the app, they should know that "there may be unexpected results down the road with that information being used in another situation that might come back to bite you."

The start-up project has developed the app for people who suffer from prosopagnosia, or "face blindness," a condition that prevents people from recognizing people they have met. To use this app, a person first receives an image of someone's face, from either the smartphone's camera or a photograph, and then tags it with a name. When the camera spots or recognizes that same face in real life, the previously entered information is displayed. The collected data are stored only on a user's phone, according to the team behind the app.

C.organize eventsD.make friends

2Paragraph 3 is mainly about .

3SocialRecall helps people with prosopagnosia by .

A.giving names to the photos kept in their smartphones

B.collecting information previously entered in the phone

C.providing the information of a person when they first meet

D.showing the person's information when it spots a stored face

4What can we learn about SocialRecall from the passage?

A.It may put people's personal information at risk.

B.It has caused many unexpected results.

C.It can stop people recognizing people they have met.

D.It is praised by users for its protective measures.
