【題目】 It was the school's Talent Show, and it was the first time for Abby to perform with The Racket. Abby had got used to singing with the group and she no longer felt at all _______ during practices, but the idea of _______ on the stage (舞臺)was making her head hurt. They had spent the last month working hard to _______ the songs, so that they could put up a pretty good show, and everyone was confident at their final practice.
Abby sat backstage and saw her bandmates hopping around and high-fiving each other. She couldn't tell if they were just excited or trying to work out their nerves, but Abby knew how she felt: frightened. She kept _______ walking onstage, opening her mouth to sing, but nothing would come out.

【題目】
While walking outside one morning, I saw the most beautiful thing. It was early, and I was walking on dewy(帶露水的)grass down to the office. Suddenly a flash came out straight from the ground, about 15 feet in front of me, and shot up into the sky. I stopped. ① What could make such a bright light? Could it be a diamond(鉆石)?I waited to see if it would repeat, but it didn't.
I walked slowly toward it, but saw nothing. I looked down at the grass, searching for gold or some kind of metal - again, nothing. ② Suddenly, I saw it. The rising sun hit the grass' dewdrop(露珠)at the perfect way, sending great light into the sky. It was as if I had just discovered a tiny new world and it was just the unseen world that was giving me a heads-up, "Hello, look at what's around you," it said. I've never forgotten that moment.
So next time you're out, take some time to notice nature, whose beauty most of us never even see. Look at the beautiful colors and different small flowers that cover playing fields—we walk all over them without a second look. ③ Watch a bee dancing, or tiny ants going on their way, or birds singing in the sky. All of these natural living things are amazing—if only we took the time to notice them.

【題目】
The growth in skyscrapers (摩天大樓) worldwide, most of which have large glass panes, has led to a great need for window washers. Though the job, which earns workers as much as $35 an hour, can be lucrative, accidents are not uncommon. However, the dangerous chore may soon be done by Ozmo, an intelligent window cleaning robot, with humans supervising (監(jiān)督) from the safety of the ground.
Much like humans, Ozmo, hanging off the sides of the building, uses its arms and brushes to clean the dirt and grime on the glass panes. A 3-D map of the building programmed into its system allows the robot to skillfully move up and down. Computer vision and touch sensors (傳感器) enable it to move out of the way in case of unexpected events, such as the sudden opening of a window. And the robot will self-correct and move around it so as not to break a window.
Unlike other window washers, the robot cleaner does not require soap or Windex to clean the glass. Instead, it uses purified water (純凈水) and a process called reverse osmosis (反滲透) to do the job. It is environmentally friendly.
While it takes three cleaners 480 hours each to clean the windows of a 40-story glass building, the robot will single-handedly complete the task in just 80 hours. However, unlike other robots, Ozmo will not replace human workers, only making their jobs safer. Human workers will control the robot from below.
Whether Ozmo, which is still undergoing testing, docs as good a job as humans remains to be seen. * Past efforts to use a robot to do this dangerous job have not been successful, because the machines do not have the same eye as humans and often miss the soot (煙垢) collected on window corners.
【1】The underlined word “l(fā)ucrative” in the passant’ probably means “________”
A.安全的B.危險的C.賺錢的
【2】The second paragraph mainly tells us
A.why Ozmo is much more intelligent than human workers
B.how Ozmo works to clean the glass smartly
C.what makes Ozmo an intelligent window cleaning robot
【3】What does Ozmo use to clean the glass?
A.Purified water.B.Soap.C.Grime or soot.
【4】To finish the task of cleaning the windows of a 40-story glass building, Ozmo spends ________ hours less than a cleaner.
A.560B.400C.1,360
【5】Which of the following is TRUE about Ozmo?
A.As an intelligent window cleaning robot. Ozmo is successful.
B.Ozmo does harm to the environment while cleaning the window.
C.Ozmo can make human window washers do their jobs safely.
