【題目】根據(jù)短文內(nèi)容,判斷下列句子正誤。正確的用“A”表示,不正確的用“B”表示。

Indian scientists have designed a new device (設(shè)備) that

they hope will solve one of the biggest problems with the use

of solar energy. They call the device a solar tree. Solar trees

have metal “branches” (分枝). Each branch holds a solar panel (太陽(yáng)能電池板). These panels have flat surfaces that collect energy from the sun and turn it into electricity.

Daljit Singh Bedi is the chief (首席的) scientist at the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research in India. Bedi says the shape of the solar trees makes it possible to fit more solar panels in a space than traditional systems do. This means less land would be needed to produce solar energy. “It takes about four square meters of space to produce energy. However, 400 square meters of space would be required in the past to produce the same energy,” he says.

Scientists believe the energy that a solar tree collects will be enough to power five homes. The solar tree will make it easier to provide solar energy for homes in cities. The trees will also take less space from farmers in the countryside. And that way people are able to use 10 to 15 percent more energy.

Amit Kumar is a senior engineer of the Energy and Resources Institute in New Delhi. He says that it is still not clear how useful these new developments in solar power technology are. “Only when we put those trees on a large scale (規(guī)模) will we be able to get that answer,” he says.

1Indian scientists have solved a big problem with the use of solar energy.

2Solar trees can save land and produce more energy.

3Not every scientist agrees that solar trees are useful at present.

4Solar trees are widely used in India.

5The passage mainly introduces how to use solar energy.

【題目】

Sometimes people cry when they are sad. Other times people cry tears of joy. But your eyes make tears all the time, whether you are crying or not. Do you know

the tears help keep your eyes healthy? They keep your eyes from drying out. A special area of the eye drips (滴) all the time. It keeps the eye humid.

If you look in a mirror, you can see tiny holes in the corners of your eyes. Each hole leads to a small tube that runs to your nose. Tears run slowly into this tube drip by drip. Day and night the

holes drain (流走) the tears away. If they didn’t, you would always look as if you were crying.

If you begin to cry, there are many more tears. The holes can’t drain all of them. Then extra tears run out onto your face.

Tears help keep eyes safe. If there is something harmful in the air, the eyes fill with tears. These tears coat your eyes. They keep the harmful air out.

Contact lenses (隱形眼鏡) can make the eyes too dry. Some people have to add tears to their eyes.

They buy bottles of eye drops to keep their eyes wet.

1Eyes make tears no matter how people feel.

2When you cry, tears run into your nose or onto your face.

3If there is something harmful in the air, tears protect your eyes by covering them.

4Contact lenses make you have more tears in your eyes.

5Tears are harmful to your eyes.

【題目】閱讀下面短文,用括號(hào)內(nèi)所給動(dòng)詞的適當(dāng)形式填空, 必要時(shí)可加助動(dòng)詞或情態(tài)動(dòng)詞。

One day, Confucius (孔子) led his students to the State of Chu. When crossing through a large forest, they saw an old man1 (stand) under a tree, catching cicadas () with a bamboo stick. Confucius said, “You are very good at 2(catch) cicadas. You must have some special skills.”

“That’s right!” the old man answered. “The cicada is a clever little insect. If they hear the noise of the leaves in the wind, they 3 (fly) away. Therefore, people who want to catch cicadas4(train) their hands to hold a bamboo stick without shaking. If you can place three pellets (彈珠) on top of the bamboo stick without falling off, you might be able to catch cicadas; when five pellets5 (place) on top without falling off, catching cicadas is as easy as 6 (pick) a ball up from the ground.”

He then added, “But that is not enough. People must be good at hiding themselves. Right now, I7(stand) under a tree like half of a tree stump ( 樹(shù) ). Last of all, one must be attentive ( ). When I am catching cicadas, I only see their wings. No matter what 8(happen), nothing will disturb me.

Hearing this, Confucius 9(turn) to his students and said, “No matter what you do, you can only succeed if you love what you’re doing and pay enough attention to it. This is what this old man 10(teach) us.”
