【題目】 Can you write the Chinese characters(漢字) "ganga" (embarrassment) correctly? Do you know how to write characters like "tiaozhou"(broom)?

If you can't, you’re not alone. Nowadays, most people are typing into computers instead of writing on paper, We type Chinese characters largely according to their pronunciation. The result is to recognize (認(rèn)出) characters without remembering how to write them.

In 2013, China Youth Daily did a survey of 2, 517 people, in which 98.9 percent said they had once forgotten how to write a common Chinese character.

Compared to adults (成年人), teenagers are better at writing Chinese characters because they spend more time learning and practicing at school. However, the effect of digital technology cannot be ignored, according to He Yu, head of a research team for Chinese teaching at a Beijing high school. " Many students are obsessed (沉迷于) with digital devices such as electronic dictionaries and computers to help with their studies. Too much use of these tools will make students too lazy to think and write." He said.

Such worries have brought about a popular TV show titled Chinese Spelling Hero, which pays attention to Chinese character writing among teenagers. In April, the Ministry of Education called for better calligraphy (書法) education in schools. Organizations like the China Calligraphers Association are also working to train more teachers in calligraphy.

Interestingly, calligraphy teachers can't always avoid (避免) the effects of modern technology. Shen Bin is a calligraphy teacher at a primary school in Beijing. She admitted that it's common for teachers like her to forget certain words.

【題目】閱讀理解七選五 根據(jù)短文內(nèi)容,從短文后的選項(xiàng)中選出能填入空白處的最佳選項(xiàng)。選項(xiàng)中有兩項(xiàng)為多余選項(xiàng)。

Language teachers often offer advice to language learners: “Read as much as you can in the new language.” “1” “Live with people who speak the language.” “Don’t translate—try to think in he new language.” “Learn as a child would learn; play with the language.”

But what does a successful language learner do? Language learning research shows that successful language learners are similar in many ways.

First of all, successful language learners are independent learners. 2 They try to find their own way to learn the language. Instead of waiting for the teacher to explain, they try to find the patterns and the rules for themselves. They are good guessers. When they guess wrong, they guess again. They try to learn from their mistakes.

3 Therefore, successful learners do not wait for a chance to use the language; they look for such a chance. They find people who speak the language and they ask these people to correct them when they make a mistake. They will try anything to communicate. They are not afraid to repeat what they hear or to say strange things; they are willing to make mistakes and try again.

4 They want to learn the language because they are interested in the language and the people who speak it. It is necessary for them to learn the language in order to communicate with these people and to learn from them.

5 If you are a successful language learner, you have probably been learning independently, actively, and purposefully. On the other hand, if your language learning has not been very successful, you may try some of the techniques (方法) mentioned above.

A. Successful language learning is active learning.

B. What kind of language learner are you?

C. Who knows the secret to language learning?

D. Practice speaking the language every day.

E. They do not depend on the book or the teacher.

F. Good language learners are not afraid of making mistakes.

G. Finally, successful language learners are learners with a purpose.

【題目】 Do you know we are living in the world of mass media? Mass media are tools of communication and allow us to record and pass information rapidly to a large, scattered audience.

Howeverhave you imagined what life would be without the media? Are you a media addict who would go mad after two hours without TV,friend requests, exciting online games and your mobile—or would you easily survive?

Recentlyuniversity students around the world were asked to volunteer in a global experiment called UnpluggedIt was designed to see how young people would react if they were asked to observe a total media ban(禁止)by unplugging all forms of media devices for 24 hours.

Unplugged is being run by Dr. Roman Gerodimos,a lecturer in Communication and Journalism at Bournemouth UniversityThe experiment is now over but he doesnt yet know the full findings. However, during the experiment,Dr. Gerodimos said there were already signs of how much the exercise affected volunteersHe said: Theyre reporting withdrawal(孤僻)symptoms, overeating, feeling nervousisolated and disconnected.

During their 24-hour ordeal, three volunteers had to endure one intrusion from the media: a BBC reporter plus cameraman who followed them around for the dayThey were asked to write down 100 lines about their day offlinebut of course, they all waited until the next day when they had access to their laptops.

Elliot Day wrote: “Today,my whole morning routine was thrown up into the airDespite being aware of the social importance of the mediaI was surprised by how empty my life felt without the radio or newspapers.

From Caroline Scott,we read: “I didnt expect it,but being taken away from the media for 24 hours resulted in my day-to-day activities becoming so much harder to carry out than usual… I didnt break out in a cold sweat like Dr. Roman Gerodimos expected us all to,but its not something I would like to do again!”

And Charlotte Gay wrote: “I have to say the most difficult item for me to be without has been my mobile not only is it a social gadget, its my main access point of communication.

Earlier in the yeara UK government study found that in the UK we spend about half our waking hours using the media, often plugged into several things at onceAnd a recent study by Nielson found that on averageUS teenagers send and receive over 3,000 texts per month—thats about six texts per waking hour.
