A life coach is somebody who helps you reach all kinds of personal and professional goals(目標(biāo)). Each of us has the ability to be our own life coach. Here is some advice about how to be your own life coach:

Pay attention to your relationships with others. Ask yourself the following questions: How do you deal with disagreements? When was the last time you showed your family members that you care for them? Your relationships with friends, family members and teachers show a lot about the kind of person you are.

Face the fears about the future. Now, imagine that one of your good friends told you that he or she was not strong enough to go back to school. We often give better advice than we are willing to take ourselves. Remember that even the most successful people were probably told that what they wanted to do was impossible. 82. 但是他們堅(jiān)持努力工作,永不放棄。

Everyone strongly wants to be a success. What is important for success? Most people think that confidence, hard work and enemies are main factors(因素) leading to success. Ronaldo said he believed he was a better player than Messi in an interview published in Spanish sports paper on Sunday.

Talking about his achievements of his career, Ronaldo showed pride. Ronaldo was also asked about Messi, who was seen as his biggest enemy to be considered the best player in the world. “Whether you are No. 1 or not is not so important. Although some people may think Messi to be the best,I think that I am.” Ronaldo said that boos(喝倒彩的噓聲) didn’t make him sad, but encouraged him to practice harder.

Ronaldo insisted that hard work was important to be a top player, though at times he felt a great pain for his training, saying a body “was not used” to training hard and playing twice a week. But no pain, no gain. He said he had changed his life to make sure he was in top condition, saying that when in the past he usually went out to relax, but now he “goes home to rest for tomorrow.”

“Football is my life. It’s what I love most.” he explained.

1What do most people think are main factors leading to success? ____________

2Who was considered the best player in the world except Ronaldo? ____________

3What did Ronaldo use to do after a hard training? ____________

4How did boos influence Ronaldo? ____________

5Why does Ronaldo say football is his life? ____________

【題目】Have you ever run into a careless mobile phone user on the street? Perhaps they were busy talking, texting or checking updates on WeChat without looking at what was going on around them. As the number of this new “species(物種)” of human has kept rising, they have been given a new namephubbers.

Recently, a cartoon created by students from China Central Academy of Fine Arts put this group of people under the spotlight(聚光燈). In the short film, phubbers with different social identities always put themselves in their phones. A doctor plays with his mobile phone while letting his patient die, a pretty woman takes selfie(自拍照) in front of a car accident site(場(chǎng)地), and a father loses his child without knowing about it while using his mobile phone. A chain of similar events finally leads to the destruction(毀滅) of the world.

Although the ending sounds overstated(夸張), the damage(損害)that phubbing can bring is real.

Your health is the first to bear(承受) the effect and result of it. “Constantly(不斷地) bending(使彎曲) your head to check your telephone could damage your neck,” Guangming Daily quoted(引述) doctors as saying, “the neck is like a rope that breaks after long-term stretching(伸展).” Also, staring(盯著) at telephones for long periods of time will damage your eyesight gradually, according to the report.

But that’s not all. Being a phubber could also damage your social skills and drive you away from your friends and family. At reunions(團(tuán)聚)with family or friends, many people tend to stare at their telephones while others are chatting happily with each other and this creates a strange atmosphere, Qilu Evening News reported.

It can also cost you your life. There have been lots of reports on phubbers who fell to their death, suffered accidents, and were robbed of their telephones in broad daylight.

1What does the underlined word phubbers mean in Chinese? _________.

A. 低頭族 B. 打工族 C. 月光族 D. 啃老族

2For what purpose does the author(作者) give the example of a cartoon in Para.2? _____.

A. To warn doctors against using telephones while treating patients

B. To show the world will finally be destroyed by phubbers

C. To advertise the cartoon made by students

D. To tell people the bad influence of phubbing

3Which of the following is NOT a risk a phubber may have? _________.

A. He might get divided from his friends and family

B. His neck and eyesight will be gradually harmed

C. He will cause the destruction of the world

D. His social skills could be influenced

4Which of the following may be the author’s attitude(態(tài)度) towards phubbing? _________.

A. Supportive B. Against C. Active D. Favorable

5What may the passage talk about next? _________.

A. Advice on how to use a telephone B. Ways to reduce(減少) the risks of phubbing

C. Results of phubbing D. People are crazy about phubbing
