People used to like big cities, but now many say that they are interested in living on a farm. It’s a good way to get close to nature. The number of farmers under 35 years old in the US is increasing. These farmers like to run small farms.

Waste sorting(垃圾分類) is a big matter worldwide. In order to sort the rubbish properly and protect the environment, people in different countries are using different methods to sort their waste.

UK A UK company invented a “smart bin” to help with waste sorting. People just need to drop their waste into the bin(垃圾箱). A camera and sensors(感應(yīng)器) in the bin can tell what type of rubbish it is and correctly sort it. The bin also compresses(壓縮) the waste so it takes up less space.

South Korea South Korea is using a method called “Pay For Your Waste” to encourage its people to reduce food waste. When throwing away rubbish, people have to separate their food waste from their other rubbish and put it in a bin. The smart bin then weighs the food. People have to pay for their food waste by scanning(掃描) a barcode(條形碼) on the bin. If they throw away more rubbish, they will pay more.

Japan Japan is leading the world in waste sorting. They sort waste so carefully that even plastic bottles and their caps go into different bins. Different types of paper products have their own bins.

China China is improving its waste sorting efforts. Shanghai has worked with Alipay to create a “green account(賬戶)”service for its residents(居民). The city is asking all of its residents to sort their waste into four groups: wet, recyclable, harmful and dry.

Parents might have tried to do something to fix it, such as having their children get eye massages(按摩), take medicine or even get surgery. People who offer these services or products often promise that they can reduce(緩解) or even cure(治愈) myopia.

However, you will no longer see advertisements like this before long. The government has made a notice to ban(禁止) this kind of advertisements. The notice bans businesses from using words like “recovery”(恢復(fù)) and “myopia cure” in their advertisements. The notice says that myopia cannot be completely cured with medical technology now. As a result, these advertisements could mislead children and their parents.

To reduce myopia among young people, the government made a new plan last August. The plan limits(限制) not only the time children play video games but also the production of new video games.

Young people can prevent and control myopia by spending more time outside and less time in front of books or computers. People who have eyesight problems should go to a hospital and let a doctor decide what to do.
